With a strong commitment towards the new generation of engineers, the college provides numerous opportunities to their students through design-based classrooms, research work, internships, and field experiences along with an understanding of their work socially and economically.

With over 2,200 undergraduate and graduate students, the college offers 8 undergraduate programs and 7 graduate degree programs with 8 faculty members awarded with National Science Foundation CAREER Awards. Programs and Courses

  • University of Georgia College of Engineering offers eight undergraduate programs and seven graduate degree programs ( Masters of Science degrees and Doctor of Philosophy programs).
  • They also offer a variety of dual degrees and combined bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
  • The eight fully-accredited UG programs are,
    • Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering,
    • Bachelor of Science in Biochemical Engineering,
    • Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering,
    • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering,
    • Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering,
    • Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
    • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering
    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A lot of research work is encouraged, especially to graduate students. In addition to that, 3 certificate programs namely Certificate in Coastal and Oceanographic Engineering, Certificate in Informatics and Sustainability Certificate are offered by UCA College of Engineering.

Campus

  • University of Georgia College of Engineering has 3 campuses –
    • School of Chemical, Materials and Biomedical Engineering
    • School of Electrical and Computer Engineering
    • School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering.
  • School of Chemical, Materials and Biomedical Engineering offers only biochemical and biological engineering undergrad degrees. It also offers MS and Ph.D. programs in the mentioned areas of engineering.
  • School of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers undergrad degrees in electrical & electronics engineering, computer systems engineering, and an accelerated BS + MS program whereas graduate programs in three broad areas: Control Systems, Electronics and Photonics, and Cyber-Physical Systems.
  • School of Environmental, Civil, Agricultural and Mechanical Engineering offers four undergraduate programs plus an accelerated BS + MS option along with MS and PhD programs.
    • The college is well-equipped with facilities like- instructional labs, experiential labs, recreational sports, library and internship opportunities.

Residence

The University of Georgia College of Engineering provides on-campus accommodation via their residential hall named Russell Hall. This 10-floor hall has an amazing dorm with a huge lounge, study area, laundry area, a kitchenette and furnishings in individual rooms. People who prefer to live off-campus can opt to stay in apartments or lodges.

Application Process

International students seeking admissions at the University can follow the below-mentioned admission details:

  • Application: Apply online via the university portal.
  • Application deadline: Spring: March 27, Summer: July 27 and Fall: October 30.
  • Academic Requirements: Official attested secondary school transcripts, mark sheets, college essay, Standardized test scores, Letters of Recommendation, personal statement of purpose, work experience.
