  • SAT / ACT: test optional. Middle 50 percent of admitted students scored SAT 1360 to 1490.
  • English tests: IELTS 6.0 overall, TOEFL iBT 80, or Duolingo 105.

Stevens Graduate Eligibility

Indian applicants from English-medium schools should still plan to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo scores.

Stevens Institute of Technology MBA Admissions and Interview

The Stevens MBA runs as a STEM-designated program, offered in full-time on-campus, part-time, and online formats. GMAT and GRE are optional for all MBA tracks, though strong scores strengthen merit review. Rolling admissions apply.

Stevens MBA Deadlines and Fees

  • Fall 2027 preferred deadline: 15 April 2027 for full-time.
  • Application fee: USD 70 (INR 6,691) via the Stevens graduate portal.

Stevens MBA Experience and Interview

  • Full-Time MBA: open to early-career applicants, no fixed minimum work experience.
  • Part-Time and Online MBA: designed for working professionals, typically 2 to 3 years of work experience recommended.
  • Interview: conducted by the School of Business admissions committee after initial file review, usually virtually for Indian applicants.

Insider note: Stevens MBA admissions weigh a clear technology or analytics angle in the SOP. Indian engineers pivoting to product or finance roles should link past technical projects to the STEM-designated curriculum.

Stevens Institute of Technology PhD Admissions

Stevens Institute of Technology offers 20 PhD tracks across engineering, sciences, business, and computer science. All PhD applicants pay the USD 60 (INR 5,735) fee. Full-time doctoral admits are typically considered for research assistantships that cover tuition and stipend.

Stevens PhD Deadlines

  • Fall 2027 preferred deadline: 15 January 2027.
  • Spring 2027 preferred deadline: 1 September 2026.
  • Applications reviewed on rolling basis after preferred dates.

  • Official transcripts, resume, and a professional writing sample (thesis, paper, or publication).
  • GRE required for Chemical Engineering, Materials, Mathematics, Robotics, Data Science, Financial Engineering, and Business Administration tracks.

Planning note: Indian PhD applicants should email prospective faculty before applying. A confirmed research fit often decides admission and funding at Stevens more than raw GRE scores.

Stevens Institute of Technology Acceptance Rate

Stevens Institute of Technology admitted 51 percent of applicants to its Fall 2025 undergraduate class, published in the university’s official facts and statistics page. Selectivity is highest for the flagship engineering and computer science majors, where the accepted-pool profile leans stronger than the headline figure suggests.

Stevens Admitted Class Profile

  • Middle 50 percent SAT range: 1360 to 1490.
  • Average admitted high school GPA: 3.83 on the US 4.0 scale.
  • International students form roughly 4 percent of undergraduates.

Stevens Graduate Selectivity

Stevens does not publish an official master’s acceptance rate. Based on rolling-admission patterns and the strong applicant pool for STEM masters, admission is estimated at 40 to 55 percent for well-prepared Indian applicants with a first-class Bachelor’s and IELTS 6.5 or above.

Insider note: Applying by the preferred deadline meaningfully improves both admit odds and merit scholarship consideration at Stevens. Late applicants can still be admitted, but funding pools shrink after 15 April for Fall entry. See the current Stevens ranking band to gauge peer selectivity.

USA F-1 Student Visa Process for Stevens Institute of Technology

Indian students admitted to Stevens Institute of Technology need an F-1 student visa to enter the US. The process begins once Stevens issues the I-20 form after receiving financial documentation and the enrollment deposit. Book a US consular slot in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, or Hyderabad as soon as the I-20 arrives, since summer slots for Fall intake fill fast.

Pay the SEVIS fee of USD 350 (INR 33,453) and the DS-160 visa fee of USD 185 (INR 17,682), then attend the biometric appointment followed by the visa interview. Carry the I-20, admission letter, financial proof covering the first year of study, academic transcripts, and passport. After arrival in Hoboken, complete the mandatory international student check-in at the Office of International Student and Scholar Services within the first week of classes.

2026 update: Stevens continues to enrol on Fall and Spring intakes for Indian students. F-1 visa policy for STEM-designated master’s programs at Stevens allows a 3-year Optional Practical Training extension after graduation.

Stevens Institute of Technology Tips and Admissions Checklist

  • 8 weeks before deadline: request Class X, XII, and Bachelor’s transcripts from your school or university.
  • 6 weeks out: book and complete IELTS or TOEFL, allowing time for a retake.
  • 4 weeks out: finish the SOP or Common App essay and share with recommenders for context.
  • Tuition trick: apply Early Action to unlock merit scholarship priority and reduce effective UG cost.
  • Grad tip: submit before the 15 April preferred date to stay in the merit assistantship pool.

  • Interview readiness: MBA and select PhD applicants should prepare for a virtual interview within 3 weeks of file completion.

Stevens Institute of Technology stays open for Fall 2027 across UG and graduate levels, with the Common Application already live and graduate rolling review in progress. Overview

I submitted SOP and LOR . Mentioned about my passion towards computer science and my overall goal to accomplish my future targets. I did not have any rounds and was directly selected for a dean's excellence scholarship for my profile. The main reason to choose this university is for its easily customizable courses. I would simply recommend my university to everyone who is willing to study any computer based courses . It's really great here and i love everything about my university.
