Kennesaw State University Application Deadlines for Fall 2027 and Spring 2027

Kennesaw State University publishes fixed dates per intake rather than rolling rounds, per the official KSU international admissions page. Kennesaw State University Eligibility for Indian Students

Eligibility at Kennesaw State University is set at the institution level for academic thresholds and English proficiency, with programme-specific overrides at graduate level. Indian applicants are assessed on Class XII marks for undergraduate entry and on the Bachelor’s degree for graduate entry. All non-US transcripts must go through a NACES or AICE credential evaluation before the admissions committee reviews them.

Currency note: All INR figures in this article use USD 1 = INR 95.66, the live rate on 21 August 2026. Live rates may vary, so confirm with your bank before remitting.

Undergraduate waivers apply if you have completed an approved USG campus-based ESL program, or a US college’s English Composition I with a C grade or better.

Explore MBA-specific funding options through the funding for Indian students guide, including Graduate Assistantships that waive out-of-state tuition.

Kennesaw State University Application Process Step by Step

Kennesaw State University uses its own admissions portal rather than a central US platform like Common App. UG applicants use Owl Express and graduate applicants apply through the Graduate College portal. The process is document-heavy for Indian applicants, so start credential evaluation early. Steps below apply to both UG and PG unless noted.

  1. Create your account on the KSU international applications portal (Owl Express for UG, Graduate College for PG).
  2. Pay the application fee of $40 (around INR 3,826) for UG or $60 (around INR 5,740) for PG on the KSU portal by credit card.
  3. Order credential evaluation from a NACES or AICE-approved agency (WES, ECE, Educational Perspectives).
  4. Send official English proficiency scores (IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or PTE) directly from the testing agency to KSU.
  5. Upload SOP, LORs, and CV for graduate applications as required by the programme.
  6. Submit financial documents (bank statement or affidavit of support) with the sponsor’s confirmation of one year of costs.
  7. Receive I-20 after admission and financial verification, then book your F-1 visa interview.

Kennesaw State University Admission Decision Timeline

  • PG programs: Turnaround varies by department, expect 6 to 8 weeks after your file is complete.
  • Offer acceptance: Confirm your seat and pay any deposit within the deadline stated on your offer letter.

Kennesaw State University Documents Required for Indian Students

Documents at Kennesaw State University are split between academic paperwork, English proficiency validation, and immigration finance. Missing a single item delays your I-20, so keep every scan under 5 MB and in PDF format for the portal.

  • Valid Indian passport: Bio-data page scan, valid at least six months beyond intended entry.
  • Class X and XII certified transcripts: Board-issued mark sheets and passing certificates.
  • NACES or AICE credential evaluation: Course-by-course report with US GPA calculation.
  • English proficiency score report: Sent directly from IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE.

Kennesaw State University Acceptance Rate for Indian Applicants

Kennesaw State University’s institution-wide acceptance rate sits at 83 percent, placing it among the more accessible US public universities. This makes it a strong safety option for Indian applicants targeting Georgia or the wider south-eastern US. Access is generous at UG level but selective within specific graduate programmes like MSN, Coles MBA, and MS Cybersecurity.

What the 83 Percent Rate Means at Kennesaw State University

Meeting the published minimums (Class XII at 75 percent for UG, or Bachelor’s at 3.0 GPA for PG, plus IELTS 6.5) puts you well within the admit band, but does not guarantee entry into competitive programmes. KSU is ranked #526 of 824 in the Collegedunia Study Abroad 2026 ranking band and #373 nationally in the US News 2026 rankings.

Improving Kennesaw State University Admission Odds

File within the priority window, submit a credential-evaluated transcript with a clear GPA calculation, and pair it with a SOP that references specific KSU faculty, labs, or Coles concentrations. For PG applicants, one to two years of relevant work experience meaningfully improves your review at Coles and the College of Computing.

Insider note: KSU reviews international transcripts programme by programme after credential evaluation, so a strong Class XII or Bachelor’s GPA offsets a borderline IELTS 6.5.

USA F-1 Student Visa for Kennesaw State University Applicants

Indian applicants enter the United States on the F-1 student visa after receiving the I-20 from Kennesaw State University’s International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). The F-1 route is only issued for on-campus, in-person study, so KSU’s online-only graduate options (like the online Professional MBA) do not qualify for F-1 sponsorship.

The visa process involves paying the SEVIS I-901 fee of $350 (around INR 33,481), completing the DS-160 form, paying the MRV visa fee of $185 (around INR 17,697), and attending your interview at a US Consulate in India (Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi, or Hyderabad). Financial proof for one full academic year of $39,496 (around INR 37.79 Lakhs) covering tuition and living is required. After landing, you must report to ISSS within 30 days for SEVIS activation.

Planning note: Book your F-1 interview slot within a week of I-20 issuance. South India consulates (Chennai, Hyderabad) see the heaviest queues during May to July for Fall intakes.

Tips and Application Checklist for Kennesaw State University

The following tips and steps are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Kennesaw State University and the priority-deadline logic KSU publishes for Fall and Spring intakes. Sequence matters more than paperwork bulk. Starting credential evaluation late is the single most common cause of missed I-20 windows.

Kennesaw State University Application Tips for Indian Students

  • Book IELTS or TOEFL early: Score reports take 5 to 13 days to reach KSU, so test at least 10 weeks before your deadline.
  • Order credential evaluation first: WES or ECE typically takes 4 to 7 weeks for Indian transcripts.
  • File for the priority window: Fall 2027 priority applicants get earlier I-20s and better visa slot availability.
  • Chase the GMAT waiver early: Coles MBA requires written waiver requests before you can submit without a score.

Kennesaw State University Admissions Checklist by Timeline

  • 10 weeks before deadline: Book IELTS or TOEFL slot and request Class X, XII, or Bachelor’s transcripts.
  • 8 weeks before deadline: Send transcripts to NACES or AICE agency for evaluation.
  • 4 weeks before deadline: Submit online application, pay the $40 or $60 fee, upload SOP, LORs, and CV.
  • 2 weeks before deadline: Send official English score to KSU and confirm credential evaluation is en route.
  • Post-admission: Receive I-20, pay SEVIS $350 (around INR 33,481), book DS-160, schedule F-1 interview.

Kennesaw State University’s 83 percent acceptance rate, priority-window structure, and $18,050 (INR 17.27 Lakhs) undergraduate base tuition make it a workable safety-plus target for Indian applicants who file early, complete credential evaluation on time, and clear IELTS 6.5. The Fall 2027 priority date of 2 November 2026 is the single most important line on your calendar.

Overview

It wasn't too far from home. It isn't a huge school but it still has a huge school feel. There is a lot to do in the Kennesaw area. It is close to downtown Atlanta. Greek life at Kennesaw is very nice.
