Application Status. Open. The Fall 2027 (August) intake is the primary intake for Webster University Webster Groves, with an international deadline of 1 June 2027. The nearest live window is Spring 2027 (January), closing on 15 October 2026, roughly four weeks away. Undergraduate first-year and transfer applicants can apply through the Common Application free of cost, while graduate applicants use the Webster direct portal and pay a USD 50 application fee (INR 4,725).

Webster University Webster Groves admissions run for both Fall (August) and Spring (January) intakes, and Indian applicants need Class XII marks around 65 percent for undergraduate entry and a Bachelor’s degree with a 2.5 GPA equivalent (around 55 to 60 percent in Indian marks) for graduate entry.

  • The Fall 2027 (August) primary intake closes on 1 June 2027 for both undergraduate and graduate applicants from India.
  • Base tuition sits at around USD 33,360 (INR 31.53 Lakhs) per year for undergraduate and USD 24,000 to USD 30,000 (INR 22.68 to INR 28.35 Lakhs) for graduate, with a USD 50 application fee (INR 4,725), waived for undergraduates using the Common App.
  • Eligibility floors are Class XII near 65 percent for UG, a Bachelor’s at 2.5 GPA for PG, and IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80 for both levels.
  • The institutional acceptance rate sits at around 57 percent, so Webster reads as moderately selective for Indian candidates who clear the academic and English floors.

Popular admits for Indian students include the MBA, the MS in Data Analytics, and the MS in Cybersecurity, and student reviews on the Webster University Webster Groves profile describe strong international student support and placement outcomes.

Webster admits Indian students into two main terms and two supplementary graduate windows every academic year, per the Webster International Admission Process page. The Fall (August) intake is the primary route because most undergraduate and graduate programs open here, and it also lines up with the standard US visa timeline that Indian applicants follow.

Currency note: All INR figures in this article use USD 1 = INR 94.50, the live rate on 8 September 2026. Live rates may vary, so confirm with your bank before remitting.

Webster’s primary intake for Indian students is Fall (August), and most programs open here. Applicants targeting Spring 2027 must move on the 15 October 2026 window, which is under four weeks away as of the article date.

Insider note: Webster asks Indian applicants to file complete applications four to six months before the target term so accepted students have time for the F-1 visa slot, biometrics, and SEVIS payment.

Webster University Webster Groves Eligibility for Indian Students

Webster runs a moderately selective bar: an accessible academic floor, a modest English score, and standardized tests kept optional for most undergraduate first-years. The eligibility rules below cover academic and English requirements only. Paperwork sits in the Documents section further down.

  • UG general entry: Class XII score of around 65 percent, which maps to Webster’s stated 2.5 GPA equivalent on the 4.0 scale.
  • UG test-optional: SAT and ACT are not required for Indian first-year applicants, so a strong Class XII record is enough on the academic side.
  • PG general entry: A three or four-year Bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on the 4.0 scale, which corresponds to roughly 55 to 60 percent in Indian marks.
  • PG conditional entry: Applicants with a Bachelor’s GPA between 2.0 and 2.4 may receive conditional admission and are limited to one course per term until they clear the candidacy stage.
  • English proficiency: Required from all Indian applicants unless a waiver applies.

Webster University Webster Groves IELTS Waiver for Indian Students

Indian graduate applicants can request an English proficiency waiver if they completed three or more years of full-time academic instruction in English outside the US. Most Indian universities and English-medium schools qualify, so a graduate applicant who studied a full Bachelor’s in English can submit a Medium of Instruction letter from the previous institution and skip IELTS or TOEFL. Undergraduate applicants have a narrower path: one academic year of prior US college coursework, ELS Level 112, or the University of Central Florida’s CMMS pathway. India is not on Webster’s 33-country auto-exempt list, so the MOI route is the practical option for Indian graduates.

Webster University Webster Groves PG Programs and English Scores

Webster’s George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology, School of Communications, and College of Arts and Sciences run the master’s programs most Indian students apply to. For a full course-wise fees breakdown, see the dedicated Fees page.

Webster University Webster Groves UG Programs and Requirements

Undergraduate applicants from India enter a four-year Bachelor’s structure across five schools, with tuition of USD 33,360 (INR 31.53 Lakhs) per year at institutional base rate. The programs below are the ones Indian applicants apply to most.

Programme Duration Minimum Eligibility English Req. Min.

Webster stays test-optional on the SAT and ACT for domestic first-years, and Indian first-year applicants can also apply without either test if the Class XII record is above the 2.5 GPA equivalent.

Webster University Webster Groves MBA Admission

The Walker School MBA is the most common graduate path Indian applicants pick at Webster. The program follows the graduate admission floor, so an Indian applicant needs a three or four-year Bachelor’s with a 2.5 GPA equivalent and IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80. GMAT and GRE scores are not required at institutional level for the MBA per the graduate catalog admission section, though individual concentrations may add a test where the department feels it is needed.

  • Duration: 18 to 24 months of coursework, structured across nine-week terms so working professionals in the US can juggle internships.
  • Intakes: All four graduate windows are open to the MBA: Fall 1 (August), Fall 2 (October), Spring 1 (January), and Spring 2 (March).
  • Work experience: Not mandatory, but professional experience strengthens the file at the review stage.
  • Interview: The graduate admission page does not require a standard interview, though the MBA office may reach out for a virtual chat if the file is borderline.

Key insight: Choosing Fall 1 (August) for the MBA gives you the widest concentration menu and the smoothest visa cycle from India, while October and March entries fit applicants who miss the primary deadline.

Webster University Webster Groves Application Process

The application process runs online for both undergraduate and graduate applicants, and Webster promises a decision within four to six weeks of a complete file for most programs. Indian applicants who apply early in the cycle tend to hear back faster because the admissions team can process files before the pre-deadline crunch.

  1. Undergraduate applicants can file through the Common Application at no cost, or through the Webster direct application portal. Graduate applicants must use the Webster direct portal.
  2. Pay the USD 50 application fee (INR 4,725) inside the portal, unless you are an undergraduate using the Common App, in which case the Webster-specific fee is waived.
  3. Upload official Class XII, Bachelor’s, or Master’s transcripts with certified English translations where the original document is in Hindi or another regional language.
  4. Upload IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, or PTE scores, or submit the Medium of Instruction letter if you qualify for the graduate English waiver.
  5. Attach the personal essay of 300 to 500 words or a curriculum vitae, the passport biographical page, and the Certificate of Finance showing funds for the first year.
  6. Track the file inside the applicant portal and respond to any request for additional documents within seven days.

Webster releases decisions on a rolling basis once files are complete, and the offer letter arrives with a Form I-20 for eligible admits, which is then used for the F-1 visa slot.

Webster University Webster Groves Documents Required

The document set below applies to both undergraduate and graduate Indian applicants. Academic thresholds and English test scores are covered in the Eligibility section above and are not repeated here.

  • Passport biographical page: A scanned copy of the ID page showing the applicant’s legal name exactly as it should appear on the F-1 visa.
  • Official transcripts: Class XII marksheet for UG applicants, plus Bachelor’s degree transcripts for graduate applicants, with certified English translations where the original is in a regional language.
  • Degree certificate: Provisional or final degree conferral document for graduate applicants who have completed their Bachelor’s.
  • Essay or CV: A 300 to 500-word statement for undergraduates, and a resume or 300-word essay for graduate applicants.
  • Certificate of Finance: Bank statement or sponsor letter showing funds to cover tuition and living costs for the first year of study.
  • English test score report: Official IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, or PTE report sent to Webster, unless the MOI waiver applies for graduate applicants.
  • Health insurance proof: Required at the enrollment stage for all F-1 admits before the semester begins.
  • Recommendation letters: Not universally required, though programs like the MBA and MA International Relations recommend one to two academic or professional letters.

Webster University Webster Groves Acceptance Rate for Indian Students

Webster reads as a moderately selective private university with an institutional acceptance rate estimated at around 57 percent, based on public admission-yield reports across recent cycles, since the university does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate on its own admissions site. Regionally the ranking band places Webster at #32 among Regional Universities Midwest per US News 2026.

Webster University Webster Groves Acceptance Basis for Indian Applicants

Indian applicants who present a Class XII score of 70 percent or higher for undergraduate entry, or a Bachelor’s degree at 60 percent or higher for graduate entry, tend to convert well when the file also carries a clean English proficiency score and a coherent essay. Programs with heavier quantitative loads, such as the MS in Data Analytics and MS in Finance, apply a tighter internal filter on prior coursework than the institutional floor suggests.

Insider note: Because Webster reads files on a rolling basis, files submitted in the first two months of a cycle enjoy a materially higher yield than files submitted in the final month, since scholarship budgets and cohort seats fill early.

USA F-1 Student Visa Process for Webster University Webster Groves

Indian admits to Webster apply for the F-1 student visa, the standard US academic visa for full-time degree study. Once Webster issues the Form I-20 with the admission letter, the applicant pays the SEVIS I-901 fee of USD 350 (INR 33,075), fills the DS-160 form, pays the visa application fee of USD 185 (INR 17,483), and books a visa interview slot at a US consulate in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, or Hyderabad.

Applicants should carry the I-20, admission letter, DS-160 confirmation, SEVIS receipt, passport, Class XII and Bachelor’s marksheets, IELTS or TOEFL score report, and financial proof to the interview. Post-arrival, Webster’s International Student and Scholar Services team runs a mandatory check-in and SEVIS registration in the first two weeks of the semester.

2026 update: US consulates in India continue to prioritise F-1 student visa slots ahead of the August intake, so Indian applicants who secure an I-20 by April 2027 typically clear the visa well before Fall 2027 orientation.

Tips and Checklist for Webster University Webster Groves Admissions

The following tips and steps are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Webster, published on the Webster reviews page. They cover the timeline and sequencing decisions that most often decide the outcome, rather than the paperwork listed in Documents Required.

  • Start eight months out: Book the IELTS or TOEFL at least eight months before the target term so retake room exists if the first score misses 6.0 or 80.
  • Prioritise Fall 1: Apply for Fall (August) rather than Spring, because scholarship budgets, MBA concentrations, and orientation cohorts open widest here.
  • Request Bachelor’s transcripts early: Ask your Indian university for sealed transcripts at least six weeks before the Webster deadline, since Indian institutions often take four to six weeks to release official copies.
  • Use the MOI waiver route: Indian graduate applicants who studied a full Bachelor’s in English should ask their university for a Medium of Instruction letter and skip the IELTS or TOEFL fee.
  • Choose Common App for UG: Undergraduate applicants save the USD 50 application fee (INR 4,725) by routing through the Common Application instead of the Webster direct portal.
  • File the Certificate of Finance early: Bank letters from Indian branches take one to two weeks. Line these up before you start the portal so the file closes in one submission.
  • Book the F-1 slot the day the I-20 arrives: Mumbai and Delhi F-1 slots for the summer window fill within days of opening, so book on the same day the I-20 lands.
  • Aim for four to six months lead time: Webster’s own guidance asks Indian applicants to submit files four to six months before the target term, so working backwards from 1 June 2027 means starting by January 2027 at the latest.

Webster University Webster Groves rewards the well-timed Indian applicant: apply for Fall 2027, use the MOI waiver where it fits, and route through the Common App to skip the fee. The nearest active window is Spring 2027 on 15 October 2026, and the primary Fall 2027 window closes on 1 June 2027.

Overview

The overall experience, if I have to rate, I will choose 5/10. For me the academic part is good. The syllabus was globally effective. Majority of the teachers were helpful and approachable. The only complain I have from this University is that their marketing campaign is partially vague. They said that anyone can get a part-time job easily. But for me and many other students, it was difficult to get jobs in foreign countries. Also from University, we didn't get proper reference to get a job. After finishing the studies as well we didn't get a proper placement support. So, the life in a different country gets a bit tough, without earnings.

Scholarship

Yes, I have received 5 lakh INR scholarship.
