DTU Result 2026: Semester-Wise Result PDFs, Revised B.Tech Results and How to Check

DTU Result 2026 is being released course-wise on the official examination portal. The latest notice came on October 30, 2026. It carries revised B.Tech (EE) II and IV semester results. These are for the May 2026 exams.

The full name of the university is Delhi Technological University. It publishes every result as a PDF list. It shows course-wise grades, the SGPA and any failed courses for each student.

The 2026 results cover three exam cycles. These are the November 2025 and May 2026 end terms. The third is the July 2026 summer semester. All of them sit on exam.dtu.ac.in.

DTU Result 2026 Portal by Program Type

DTU uses one result page for all programmes. The file name tells which exam cycle a PDF belongs to.

Requests, grievances and marksheet tracking run on a separate portal, DTU ExamSetu. It does not host the result PDFs.

How to Check DTU Result 2026

Students need only the roll number, for example 23/CS/114. The steps are below.

1. Open the DTU Examination Branch website at exam.dtu.ac.in.
2. Select Results from the top menu.
3. Find the row for the programme and semester.
4. Click the branch or semester name to open the PDF.
5. Search the PDF for the roll number.
6. Download and save the PDF for later use.

Example: A B.Tech CSE student wants the IV semester result. The student opens the July 24, 2026 row and clicks CS. Then the student searches the PDF for the roll number.

What the DTU Result PDF Shows

Each PDF opens with the exam month and the declaration date. It also prints a notification number, such as 1957.

• Programme name and semester
• Course codes with course names and credits
• Roll number and name of the student
• Letter grade in each course
• SGPA for the semester
• TC, the total credits for the semester
• Failed courses, if any

The PDF is a result notice, not the final marksheet. DTU sends printed marksheets to the Academic Section of each department.

DTU Grading System and SGPA Calculation

DTU awards letter grades on a 10-point scale. The 2026 result PDFs use O, A+, A, B+, B, C, P and F. O is the highest grade, and F means the course is failed.

SGPA is a credit-weighted average. Each grade point is multiplied by the course credits. The total is then divided by the semester credits.

Example: A student takes six 4-credit courses and one 3-credit course. The 4-credit grades are O, A+, B+, B+, A and O. The 3-credit grade is A+. That gives 231 points over 27 credits, so the SGPA is 8.56.

CGPA is the same average taken across all semesters. Recruiters often set CGPA cutoffs during DTU placements.

When Is the DTU Odd Semester Result 2026 Expected?

The November 2026 end term covers the odd semesters. Its results are expected from February 2027, as per the previous cycle. Last year, November 2025 results came out between February and March 2026.

How to Report a Discrepancy in the DTU Result

The Controller of Examination handles result errors. Students report a wrong name, roll number, grade or course code. This must be done within 15 days of the result notice.

1. Log in to the DTU ExamSetu portal.
2. Choose the Request/Grievance option.
3. Pick the right category and sub-category, then add details.
4. Keep the confirmation email and track the status online.

The Examination Branch aims to settle a case in 5 working days. Unsolved cases can be raised at the branch every Thursday. After that, students can meet the Controller of Examination on Mondays and Fridays.

Note: From October 29, 2026, DTU accepts these requests only through ExamSetu. Physical applications are no longer needed.

Common DTU Result Problems and Fixes

Most result problems at DTU fall into three groups.

Result Withdrawn and Revised

DTU withdrew the B.Tech EC and EE II semester results on August 18, 2026. Revised results came on October 28 and October 30, 2026. Students should use only the revised PDF in such cases.

Roll Number Missing From the PDF

Re-appear and re-registered students often have a separate notice. Summer semester grades also appear in a separate SUM26 file. Students should check those rows before raising a grievance.

Wrong Sessional Marks

The Examination Branch does not handle sessional marks. Students raise these with the course teacher or Head of Department.
