VITEEE 2027 applications opened on 20 October 2026 and the main VIT timetable gives 31 March 2027 as the last date to apply. Indian BTech applicants need a VITEEE rank. VIT then allots campus, branch and fee category in online counselling according to rank, eligibility and vacant seats.

VIT plans to hold VITEEE from 27 April to 2 May 2027, but calls that period tentative. BDes, MBA, MTech and research courses use separate applications and selection rules.

Who Can Apply for VITEEE 2027?

Applicants must have passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026, or be appearing in 2027. VIT does not accept a Class 12 pass year of 2024 or earlier for VITEEE 2027. English must be a subject in the qualifying examination. VIT also requires the qualifying subjects from one recognised board in one academic year; it does not allow marks from separate board examinations to be combined to meet eligibility.

VIT's 2027 eligibility rules allow the Biology paper for Biotechnology, CSE (Bioinformatics) and Health Sciences and Technology at Vellore. Standard CSE is not in that Vellore list. Applicants claiming a relaxed marks rule must provide the stated category or nativity certificate during counselling.

VITEEE 2027 Exam Pattern

VITEEE is a two-hour computer test with 100 multiple-choice questions. Mathematics or Biology has 40 questions, Physics and Chemistry have 25 each, and English and Aptitude have five each. A correct answer earns four marks and a wrong answer loses one. Students choosing Biology should check the branches open to that paper before applying.

How to Apply for VIT Vellore BTech

  1. Register through viteee.vit.ac.in using an email ID and mobile number that remains active through counselling.
  2. Enter personal details, Class 12 board and subjects carefully. Select the correct board code from the 2027 prospectus.
  3. Choose the appropriate Mathematics or Biology test paper and test-city preferences as instructed in the form.
  4. Complete the online form and pay the stated ₹1,450 application fee. Save the confirmation and later download the admit card.
  5. Take VITEEE in the allotted slot. After the result, follow the separate online counselling instructions to enter campus, branch and fee-category choices.

An incorrect board code can lead to rejection during document checks. The board and passing year in the application must match the Class 12 records.

How VIT Counselling and Seat Allotment Work

VIT calls students for counselling by VITEEE rank. Applicants then choose the campus, branch and fee category. Allotment depends on rank and available seats.

Selected students must pay tuition by the offer deadline and submit the required documents. VIT checks Class 12 eligibility before confirming admission. The 2027 process has no management quota or BTech lateral entry for diploma holders.

BDes, MBA, MTech and Research Admission

BDes, BArch, BCA, BBA, BCom, MBA, MTech and research programmes have separate applications. BDes selection uses UCEED or VIT-DAT; VIT-DAT is scheduled for 5 June 2027. Applicants must follow the deadline in the active 2027 BDes form.
