Victoria University of Wellington Courses

There are total 9 faculties, out of which 8 are dedicated solely to teaching and research. About 100 courses are offered at UG level and above 200 courses at the PG level. Globally, VUW is in top 100 for 7 subjects, which are Accounting & Finance, Education and Training, English Language & Literature, Geography, Law, Performing Arts and Psychology. The degrees offered by the University are highly flexible in nature wherein the students can select a combination of subjects according to their interest and future job prospects.

Victoria University of Wellington Campus 

  • The University is spread across 3 campuses, namely Kelburn, Pipitea, and Te Ara. Additionally, it has premises in Auckland’s CBD. Kelburn campus houses 5 faculties: Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Engineering, Education and Health. Pipitea campus is home to Victoria Business School and Faculty of Law. Te Ara campus offers Architecture and design courses.

Accommodation Scholarships 

Students may avail 2 types of scholarships for supporting their stay:

Victoria University of Wellington Application 

  • Application: Online application can be completed on the official website. For offline application, download the application form and mail/courier it along with essential documents.
  • Application fee: Free Application deadline: Trimester I (March) – December 1; Trimester II (July) – 1 May; Trimester III (November) – 1 September. The PhD applications are accepted 3 times in a year with deadlines on March 1, July 1 and November.
  • General requirements: Official academic transcripts, certificates, mark sheets
  • Additional requirements: Birth certificate, passport copy, ID proof

Financial Aid

Featured Scholarships 

A few of the Master’s programmes offer waive off of 10,000 NZD on the tuition fee. This can be availed by all the international students fulfilling programme entry requirements.

International students enrolled in PhD can pay the tuition fee at the domestic rate.
