Torrens MBA admissions follow the same rolling trimester cycle as other PG programs, not fixed rounds. Indian applicants typically apply for the T1 (February), T2 (June), or T3 (September) intake. - Shortlist your program and intake from the Torrens international admissions page.
- Prepare your Class XII and (if PG) Bachelor’s transcripts, English score, SOP, CV, and passport scan.

- Apply for the Subclass 500 student visa through ImmiAccount with your CoE and financial evidence.
Planning note: From 8 January 2026, India is classified as a Level 3 country (highest scrutiny tier) for Australian student visas. Build in extra time for Genuine Student (GS) requirement documentation.
Torrens University Australia Admission Decisions
Decisions follow a predictable rolling timeline, so Indian applicants can plan visa and travel steps against each milestone.
- Offer letter timing: 2 to 4 weeks after a complete application is submitted
- Acceptance deadline: as stated on the offer letter, usually 4 to 6 weeks before intake start
- Conditional offers: issued when English score, final transcripts, or degree certificate are pending

Torrens University Australia Acceptance Rate for Indian Students
Torrens does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate. Indian student outcomes are estimated at 80 to 85 percent, based on its access-oriented admissions model and openness to applicants meeting the stated academic and English floors. This is higher than Go8 universities but comparable to other private Australian institutions.
Why Torrens Has a High Acceptance Rate
Torrens is a Certified B Corp private university focused on practical, industry-aligned learning. Its model admits most applicants who meet its stated Class XII percentage and English test requirements, rather than filtering by rank or competitive scoring. Indian applicants with a clean academic record and valid English score typically receive an offer within 2 to 4 weeks.
Boosting Your Torrens Admission Chances
Submit a well-structured SOP tailored to your chosen program, provide clean certified transcripts, and ensure your IELTS or PTE score sits comfortably above the minimum. For MBA Advanced applicants, work experience letters with role, dates, and reporting lines materially improve the outcome.
Insider note: Torrens reports 95 percent of international graduates employed within 12 months of completion, a strong signal of post-study outcomes for Indian students planning to use the Temporary Graduate visa (Subclass 485).
Australia Student Visa for Torrens University Australia Applicants
Indian students join Torrens on the Student Visa Subclass 500, which permits full-time study plus up to 48 hours per fortnight of work during the trimester. The visa application fee is AUD 2,000 (INR 1.31 Lakhs) as of 2026, with proof of annual living costs of AUD 29,710 (INR 19.45 Lakhs), Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), and a Genuine Student (GS) statement.
From 8 January 2026, India is a Level 3 country under the Simplified Student Visa Framework, meaning financial and English documentation is scrutinised more strictly. Lodge the visa through ImmiAccount only after receiving your CoE. Register with the Department of Home Affairs’ pre-arrival checks and bring certified originals of all academic documents on arrival.
2026 update: Australian student visa processing for India now sits at Level 3 (highest scrutiny tier). Expect 4 to 8 weeks for a decision and prepare robust financial evidence and SOP.
Tips for Torrens University Australia Admissions
The following tips are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Torrens University Australia across the three main trimesters.
- Target T1 (February) or T3 (September): most programs run across all intakes, but these two carry the fullest course lists.
- Apply 8 weeks before intake: this leaves room for CoE issuance plus the full Subclass 500 visa processing cycle.
- Overshoot IELTS by 0.5 bands: aim for IELTS 7.0 for PG and 6.5 for UG to clear Level 3 visa scrutiny with no re-tests.
- Request work experience letters early: MBA Advanced applicants need letters stating role, dates, and reporting line.
- Tailor the SOP per program: link your Torrens program choice to a specific Australian career outcome and the Subclass 485 pathway.
- Pick one campus and stick with it: switching campuses mid-course is possible but adds administrative delay to your visa and CoE.

Dislikes
- Probably, they only focus those students who are active, but they need to do some effort in bringing higher participation of students in career growth. Also, their grading is only based on assessments, I think it will be better if there was examination as well.

Overview
Torrens is one of the most affordable universities in Australia. Their education is assignments and exams based. My course is also accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) which would help me in getting my skill assessment after completing this course. Their online education is very flexible and they have campuses in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide. Any student from these campuses can join a class from any other campus as per their availability. Moreover, work and studies can be managed efficiently.
Scholarship
25% on the overall fees. This scholarship was offered by my college itself.
Overview
It is a partner university with the one back in Malaysia so it was convenient to do a twinning program here. Also, this university is Australia's leading hotel school for hospitality education hence it makes sense for me to choose this university.
