  • I'm staying in shared accommodation, found it through Facebook Marketplace and a few WhatsApp groups for Indian students in Sydney. Flatmates.com.au is also a popular site, and some people use Roomster or Domain. Telegram groups for Sydney students helped narrow things down quickly.
  • My monthly rent is around AUD 1,200 to 1,400 for a shared room, which includes utilities, internet, and basic furniture. Closer to the city you'll easily pay AUD 1,500 to 2,000 for a shared room. UTS also has on-campus housing, but it's pricier and gets booked out fast.

  • I went to the university accomodation the details of which are available on the university website. Other ways can be through Scape accommodations or Unilodge, which are also private student accommodations.
  • Finding a personal place to live can also be done through Facebook Marketplace or flatmates; however, be very careful of scams.

• I opted for off-campus accommodation as finding an on-campus accommodation was very hard as well as expensive. I found accommodation through websites such as Gumtree, Flatmates and domain. Facebook and Whatsapp groups are also handy to find shared accommodation.

• I used to pay weekly rent around AU$150 which included electricity and gas bills for a shared accommodation in 2018.

• To get the right accommodation, you must thoroughly inspect the property by physically visiting it and check all the terms and conditions with the property owner.
• Most of the Indian Students stay in Western suburbs of Sydney.

The university is very good as it is located at the centre of the city. There are many facilities provided by the university which is easy for study access. The clubs and societies are of great advantage to mingle and increase networking.

There were few factors which I considered for deciding the University. First, UTS was leading university in Australia in Technology Sector. Second, UTS is located in the heart of the City (Central), which is very convenient. The course curriculum was one the best that I found amongst all the University I shortlisted.

For accommodation, school offers different lodges, it is not inside the campus. The accommodation is quite good but its a bit costly.

It is located in the heart of the city, they take a global approach to education that has innovation at its core. They align all the courses closely with industry needs, so what you learn will prepare you for your future career.
