Acadia University was founded in 1838 and has an acceptance rate of 60-70%. The average class size is 28. The students have the option of selecting the courses from co-op education, honours, specializations and health sciences. The University offers 200 flexible degree programs. Summer and spring courses are also available for students which are known as intersession courses.

Acadia University Undergraduate Admissions

A few guidelines which the International students are required to follow for their application process are provided.

  • A higher secondary certificate with an overall minimum of 60%
  • Applications must be supported by official high school transcripts and other academic work records
  • Transcripts should be certified and prepared in a sealed envelope by the school
  • Transfer credits may be provided for individual courses
  • An offer of admission is made to obtain the study permit after evaluation of the application

Acadia University Graduate Admissions

The minimum admission requirements to be met by all the graduate courses applicants are as follows:

  • An Honours degree or a four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • At least a B – Average (70%) in the last two undergraduate years of University studies in the major field

International students have to meet certain extra requirements to obtain admission into graduate courses at Acadia University.

  • All original official transcripts in a sealed envelope
  • GPA requirement – 2nd Division (B or 50%) for admission; 55% for internal scholarship; 1st Division, (A or 60%) for external scholarships
  • Copy of page 1 and 2 of the applicant’s passport
  • Able to guarantee annual funding of 26000 before proceeding with the student visa application
  • English proficiency test scores
