New Brunswick Community College has 6 campuses and enrols close to 10,000 students each year. The college accepts application in the season of Fall and Winter. Applications for all courses can be done through the university’s online portal. The applicant can save & return to application any time during the process prior to submitting it finally.

International applicants may apply as of June 1st each year for the following academic year (for September or January start programs). Applications received prior to June 1st will be dated as received June 2nd.

New Brunswick Community College Undergraduate Admissions

The basic process for admission is the same for all the courses. Not all programs are available for International students. Availability of seats for International students for different programs can be checked here. International applicants will be assessed by the Recruitment and admissions office upon receipt of the application and will be processed accordingly.

Admission Requirements 

Applicants must provide the following documents at the time of admission:

  • Transcripts / Credit assessment from the previously attended institution(s).
    • Certified by the institution's office registrar.
    • Sent directly from the issuing institute a stamped and sealed envelope.
    • Non-English official transcripts should be accompanied by a certified English Translation.
    • Interpretation of the grading system should also be included along with the transcripts.
  • English proficiency test score for international applicants
  • Departmental requirements: Apart from the general admission requirements, additional departmental requirements might be needed depending on the chosen program.

International applicants can submit IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications or GRE Accepted scores as proof of English proficiency.

Visa Process for International Students

  • A study permit is required to study in Canada for more than 6 months.
  • Upon receiving the admission offer from the college, the applicant can apply for a study permit.

  • Provision to receive a study permit faster is available for International applicants from India, China, Philippines and Vietnam via Student Direct Stream. The documents required are:
    • An acceptance letter from the institution
    • Proof of payment of tuition fee for the first year
    • Presently living outside Canada while applying
    • Have a Guaranteed Investment Certificate of 10,000 CAD (Similar to the proof of Financial ability)
    • Medical exam and Police certificate if applicable

  • The applicant also needs a visitor visa or an ETA to be granted entry to Canada, along with the study permit.
  • A visitor visa costs CAD 100.

The college offers one-year Postgraduate programs in the field of Applied studies Internship, Human Resources Management, Information Technology: Business Analysis & Cyber Security and International Business Management. The applicants are processed by the College Admissions Office all year round. Upon completion of the current academic cycle is complete, the College Admissions Office processes the applications and start with acceptance.

The transcripts of marks presented by the applicants are supposed to demonstrate how the applicant meets with the specified requirements for the course applied for.

Each applicant will be assessed based on the application and supporting documentation submitted.

All applicants will be notified by once a decision has been made. In case if an applicant gets selected to the college and study permit was refused, the application can be deferred for the next academic year.
