Scholarships and financial grants helping you to pay for study

CBU offers the scholarship worth $1.8 million to the students who want to begin their career at the university. The types of scholarships awarded by the university are:

  • Entrance scholarships: This scholarship is awarded to both domestic and international students. The entrance scholarship of $500 to $1000 per year is offered to the applicants on the basis of their eligibility.
  • In-course scholarship program: This scholarship is provided to the candidates on completing one year at CBU. It is awarded on the basis of their previous academic record.
  • President Scholarship: A scholarship of $5,000 per year is offered to the students enrolled in 30 credits and $4,000 is awarded to the student enrolled in 24 credits.

Options to work while studying

Those who are interested in working while studying in Canada must have 2 documents in hand:

  1. Study permit – It is mandatory for all the aspiring candidates who want to get admission to Cape Breton University
  2. Social Insurance Number (SIN) – SIN is a work permit mandatory for those students who want to work while studying in Canada.
