  • Surrounded by multiples natural attractions like Takhini Hot springs, Carcross Desert and Mount Sima, Campus housings at Yukon College are all located at Ayamdigut campus.

Facilities available at Ayamdigut campus includes: Gymnasium, Library, Cafeteria, Bookstore, First Nations lounge etc. Housing is available in different categories, based on age, and other related factors.

  • Single or Double Campus Housing Building: House to 55 residents in overall 48 rooms, these rooms are generally meant for those aged 16 and above. Rooms are generally furnished with sink, bed, wardrobe, lamp, chair, a small fridge, table.
  • Mature Campus Housing Building: A total of 12 dorm styled rooms are available for those aged 25 and above. This building is suitable for those seeking a quitter environment.
  • Family of Multi-Person Campus Housing Building: Two buildings containing 32 apartments, each containing 2-3 bedrooms, 1-2 washrooms with all required facilities.

All You Need to Know About the Application Process

Language being the major concern defines the minimum eligibility for all the courses. To get admitted in Yukon College, applicant must be either 19 years of age or have a high school graduation from their country.

  • Students within age range of 17-19 and not completed high school in their country can still be considered for admission provided they have not attended school for not less than a year.
  • Other than mentioned eligibilities, English proficiency tests like TOEFL and IELTS scores are also necessary.

Admission Process for International Students:

Below is the step wise process to be followed for applying any course at Yukon College.

  1. Read all the information carefully before filling the application forms.
  2. Fill the application form.
  3. If applying for intermediate level ESL, send English writing sample i.e. 25-30 sentences introducing yourself.
  4. For the programs other than intermediate level ESL, send original TOEFL or IELTS score card and high school transcripts.
  5. Once received the eligibility letter, pay tuition fee as per the course of application.
  6. Receive acceptance letter and apply for the Visa.

  • Application fee of CAD 100 needs to be paid.

Yukon College offers various college and government scholarship, student awards and bursaries.

  • Aids can be based on academic or personal achievements or financial need or there could be other specific criteria. GPA of 2.0 is minimum eligibility for the applicants.
  • Awards are categorized in two categories i.e. Entrance Awards and General Awards.  
  • Other than entrance and general awards category, there are four faculty nominated awards also. Total number of awards exceeds 45.

Work while you study

  • Full-time students with valid study permit are eligible to work inside the campus for Un-limited hours and outside campus up to 20 hours/week and full time during academic breaks.
  • This is possible only if your study permit must have this condition stated at the bottom of the document.
  • Study permit alone cannot ensure working permission, student must have a Co-op work permit/work placement permit.
