The university has a diverse student background with around 8% of international students. There are several additional requirements for the international students along with the general requirements which are the same as the Canadian applicants.

All the international applicants who do not have English as their first language or who have not received a degree from an institute where the primary language is English need to prove their proficiency in English by submitting their TOEFL, IELTS, CAEL, PTE scores. Student Permit for International Students -
Kwantlen Polytechnic University provides open-intake as well as limited intake undergraduate degrees in a number of courses in fields like Arts, Design, Health, Business, Science & Horticulture and Trades & Technology. Some of the famous courses include Graphic Design for Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, History etc. The basic requirements for all courses are the same. However, there is some specific requirement for a number of courses.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University offers limited intake master’s programs in business. The two programs offered by the university are Business Management - Global Business Management and Business Management - Green Business Management and Sustainability. Each course has specific admission requirements. However, the basic requirements for admission are the same for all courses.

The university starts the evaluation of the application after all the documents have been received.
After submitting an application for admission to KPU, the applicant will receive an email from the university containing login information for Online Self-Service and KPU Student Email. The applicant should frequently check the application status, outstanding checklist items, and transfer credit.
The university has a selective admission procedure where they consider a number of criteria for granting admissions like portfolios, letters of intent, English Language Proficiency, interviews etc.
Applicants who are admissible to their desired program will receive an e-mail offer of admission letter, which will also contain information about paying a confirmation deposit and accepting the offer of admission. If the applicant is offered conditional admission, the conditions to remain admissible will also be outlined in the letter.
