Yorkville University Campus

The university offers undergraduate, graduate and diploma courses in three provinces of Canada viz. Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. Programs are offered in Online and On-campus in Ontario, and British Columbia, while in New Brunswick only online programs are offered to the students.

Yorkvile University Admissions

The Yorkville University offers various undergraduate and graduate programs. The requirements are different for different programs, students can select the one they are interested in and follow the mentioned steps to apply for the university.

Mandatory Requirements

Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology/ Master of Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized university preferably Psychology as minor or major for counselling psychology specialization.
  • Grade Point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 or 4.3 scale.
  • GRE or Miller Analogies Test is not mandatory but could be considered if the applicants think, it is going to benefit them.
  • The application fee is CAD 75.
  • Two letters of reference, the format is available on the official website of Yorkville University.
  • Current Resume.
  • A 700-1000-word letter of application substantiating interest, qualifications and experience relevant to the field of counselling psychology.

Note: For Master of Education, proof of successful completion of 2 or more years of employment in the education sector is required.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

The students whose first language is not English need to appear for the test of English proficiency and submit the proof of the same.

Bachelor of Interior Design

Who all are eligible for the course

  • High school graduates.
  • Graduates of degree programs in related or unrelated fields.
  • Graduates of Bachelor of Fine Arts or Architectural Design programs.
  • Graduates of interior design diploma (two years) or interior decorating diploma programs.
  • Graduates of three-year interior design diploma programs.

Interior Decorating Associate Diploma Program

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) or its equivalent.
  • A mature student who is over 18 and is not enrolled from secondary school shall qualify mature student test conducted by the university.

English Language Requirements

  • International students with none of the above credential could still claim proficiency in English. They can get admission through Telephonic Interview with the Admission Committee.
  • Any international candidate who does not have ESL proficiency score shall successfully complete English as a Second Language Program.

Yorkville University Application Process

The application procedure is different for each course, but there are some common steps followed by all. Below mentioned are those steps:

  • Click on the “Admission” tab.
  • Click on “Apply Now” button.
  • Read all the instructions carefully and fill the form.
  • Pay the application fee of CAD 75 either online or offline.
  • Send all the mandatory transcripts through the post and complete the procedure.
  • International candidates are advised to submit notarized copies of the documents along with the application.

Obtaining Study Permit

An international student in Canada needs to have a valid study permit and visa and complete most of the courses on-campus. The students shall apply at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and at VISA Application Center for the same.

Students who submit the proof of US or Mexican citizenship are exempted from paying the international fee under The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Interior Decorating Associate Diploma

The diploma program has 23 courses and the tuition fee for each course is CAD 865. The total estimate of 23 courses is CAD 19,895.

Yorkville Unversity Scholarships
