Northern Lights College International Admissions

At Northern Lights College, international students are offered several kinds of programs such as Certificates, Diplomas, University Transfer Programs and Trades Programs.

The application process consists of the following steps:

  • Students must contact to obtain an application form.
  • Applicants are required to mail all the scanned copies of your transcripts along with the completed application to the email address:
  • After assessing the application, the college administration will issue a Letter of Acceptance.
  • Along with the Letter of Acceptance, the candidate will also receive an invoice outlining the cost of the applied program.

English Language Proficiency Test Score for International Students

To secure admission at Northern Lights College, non-native English speakers are required to submit the scores of one of the following tests:-

IELTS (University Transfer Program)6.0 (with no band less than 5.5)
IELTS (Post Degree Diploma)6.5 (with no band less than 6.0)

Visa Process 

Once a candidate’s admission is confirmed, he/she will receive ‘Offer of Admission’ containing the information for the processing of their visa.

  • Applicants are advised to prepare application package for smooth processing of the visa.

    • Application for a study permit.

    • Statutory declaration of Common-Law Union.

Admission Requirements

  • A minimum three-year degree in the relevant subject.
  • All the official transcripts demonstrating successful completion.
  • International students must have documentation demonstrating the following English Requirement: IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 or higher with no band less than 6.0.

All international applicants who enroll at NLC must have medical insurance through GuardMe. It is compulsory for students to pay the premium in advance worth 828 CAD so that coverage is in place on the day the student arrives in Canada.
