Programs offered at TWU

Trinity Western University offers degree and certificate course in over 60 programs. It offers 43 undergraduate programs and 17 graduate programs. These programs are divided into the following schools & faculties:

  • Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences
  • Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
  • School of Business
  • School of Education
  • School of Human Kinetics, Sport, and Leisure Management
  • School of Nursing
  • School of the Arts, Media, and Culture
  • Graduate school of theological studies

TWU’s School of Business offers two unique course:  Management of the Growing Enterprise and Non-Profit and Charitable Organization Management.

Graduate School of Theological Studies is dedicated to teaching Christian Liberal Arts and science. It offers the following programs:

  • Cross-cultural Ministries (MA)

The Trinity Western University offers two types of academic courses, such as:

Trinity Western University Campuses

The university has total four campuses which are as follows:

  • The main campus in Langley, BC:  The campus houses Political Science, History, English, and Geography departments and other major programs offered by TWU. The School of Art, Media + Culture and the Faculty of Natural and Applied Science is also present on the main campus.
  • Laurentian Leadership Centre (Ottawa, Ontario): It provides third and fourth year students as well as recent graduates an opportunity to experience a fully credited semester of study as well as a Parliamentary, communications, business or NGO internship in Ontario. This program is primarily designed for students of political science, business, communications, history or international studies
  • Bellingham Campus (Washington, USA): It offers Bachelor’s degree in adult education in Psychology, Social Sciences, and Leadership. It also has a one year of liberal arts core courses for new students called Freshman FASTTrack program.
  • Richmond Campus (Richmond, BC): This campus also offers Bachelor’s degree to adults past the usual age of studying full time in a university.           

How to get into Trinity Western University?

  • Candidate, domestic or International, are required to apply through the official website.
  • Candidates must check the admission and course requirement before applying for any program.
  • Application fee for international students is $150. The payment can be made using the one of the following options:

    • Cheques - Canadian and American Funds

  • Documents required for the international students:

English Language Requirement

An international candidate must prove his/her proficiency in English through English Language Tests accepted by TWU. Following tests and scores are accepted by the University as a measure of English Proficiency: -

The international students do not need to submit IELTS, TOEFL or CAEL scores, if they graduate from ESLI, the English Language Centre on the main campus of TWU in Langley, or TLC, Trinity Language Centre in Richmond

Costs & Expenses

The tuition fee is charged on per semester hour basis. One semester hour is one hour of class or 3 hours of laboratory in a semester.

Undergraduate programs tuition is $742 per semester hour. The 50% rate ($372/cr.hr.) is available to undergraduate students taking three or fewer semester hours in the Fall or Spring semesters.

Graduate programs have a tuition fee ranging between $470 - $824 per semester hour.

Work while you study

  • The TWU provides on campus employment opportunities to its students to help them fund their studies.
  • Over 300 positions are available under on campus employment. Students can work 5-10 hours per week depending on their class schedule and workload.
  • International students do not need a work permit to be employed on campus.
  • For off campus jobs, it is however required to get a work permit. Students can work up to 20 hours a week in off campus jobs.

Residence at Trinity Western University

Housing facilities are provided by the TWU to its students. It has following type of accommodations to offer.

The accommodations are available in Traditional Dorm style, apartment style and double occupancy. The residency and their capacities are as follows:

  • Douglas Hall: 279; Premium room with double occupancy and a shared bathroom. Economy room with double occupancy with smaller rooms and a communal bathroom.
  • Fraser Hall: 333; Standard room with double occupancy and a communal bathroom. Apartment styled with 1, 2, 3, and 4 - bedrooms.
  • McMillan Hall: 74; Apartment styled with 1, 2, 3, 4 - bedrooms.
  • Northwest Building: 148
  • Robson Hall: 92; Dormitory styled rooms with bathroom shared by 4 residents.

TWU has a strong and wide alumni network with more than 26,000 alumni across the world.

The institute offers a number of benefits to its alumni through Alumni card which lets its owner avail discounts at partnered stores and services, insurance assistance, health benefits etc.
