International Students English Proficiency Requirements

Students are required to fulfill the mentioned English language proficiency requirements for securing admission in the university.

Students completing full-time study (three academic level courses per semester) at an institution whose first language and the language of instruction is English are exempted from submitting below scores.

International Students Immigration Requirements

Depending on country of citizenship, students may require a temporary resident visa to enter Canada. Students also require an electronic transit authorization to fly or transit through Canada.

A study permit is also needed to legally stay and study in Canada. Students have to contact their nearest Visa Application Centre to apply for a temporary visa. The document requirements vary depending on the country but the basic requirements are very similar.

University of Ontario Institute of Technology Graduate Admission

The requirements for graduate courses is program-specific. However, some basic requirements are the same for all courses. All documents must be in PDF format. On receiving admission students will also be required to submit official transcripts and proof of citizenship.

The admission decision takes up to 4-5 weeks after submission of a properly completed admission form. The admission to the university is competitive. The average standing required for admission varies from year to year.

Selection of students is done by taking into consideration a wide range of criteria including school marks, distribution of subjects taken and performance in subjects relevant to the academic program. Preference is given to students with best qualifications.
