  • International Secondary school applicants that possess high leadership and academic qualities are eligible to apply for the university’s prestigious Global Leadership Award which is valued at more than 72,000 CAD (18,000 CAD per year for 4 years). However, the deadline for this was February 28.
  • Due to COVID - 19, the foreign nationals who are in Canada must maintain their immigration documentation valid at all times. Those whose temporary resident status may soon expire may apply for an extension so that they may maintain their temporary resident status in Canada. As per current guidelines, applicants must apply online and must meet all requirements, including associated fees.
  • Courses being delivered online on an exceptional basis due to COVID-19 will not affect Post-Graduation Work Permit Program eligibility for a post-graduation work permit.
  • The students who have a study permit or who have been approved for a study permit for a program starting in May or June but who are unable to travel to Canada at this time due to travel restrictions will be able to start their program online. International students in this situation may begin their classes while outside Canada and may complete up to 50 percent of their program while outside Canada if they cannot travel to Canada sooner. International applicants are accepted by the university provided that they have met Ontario Tech University admissions eligibility requirements, provided official academic documents, met right, and proven financial support.

  • A completed online application form
  • English Proficiency test result, which must be submitted directly to Ontario Tech University from the testing organization.
  • Official high school and college/university transcripts. Ontario Tech University considers transcript to be official if they are original or attested and sent directly from the issuing institution in a sealed envelope. Applicants still attending classes in secondary school should submit midterm or predicted results from their school.
  • For transcripts not written in English, an official and certified translation would be required
  • A course-by-course evaluation of official transcripts for other colleges attended from the Wold Education Service (WES)
  • Copy of applicants’ passport

  • A document of financial support
  • Documentation of support verification form

Applications are processed between 4-6 weeks of application and are dependent on how early the school receives supporting documents.
