FAQs
Ques. Is the University of Regina easy to get into?
Ans. Yes, relatively. With an acceptance rate of 80–91%, U of R is among the more accessible Canadian public universities. However, specific programs like Engineering and Medical Laboratory Science have competitive subject prerequisites that narrow eligibility even within the broader acceptance pool.
Ques. Can I apply with a 3-year bachelor's degree for a master's at the University of Regina?
Ans. The University of Regina generally requires a 4-year bachelor's degree for graduate admission. Indian students with a 3-year degree (e.g., a general BSc or BA) should contact the specific department directly, as some programs may conduct a course-by-course evaluation or require additional qualifying coursework.
Ques. Does the University of Regina offer three intakes for all programs?
Ans. Not all programs are available across all three intakes. While Fall is universally available, Winter and Spring/Summer availability varies significantly by program. The MEng, for example, has limited Spring/Summer intake. Always confirm availability with the program office before applying.

Overview
Campus life and acedemics and great. The institution has every tool, equipment and source to educate its students. The university has never been short of anything. I have never experienced fund deficiency in anything by the university in my entire student life. It is a great platform for students to learn and explore their fields of study. But as I said the university needs to look into some of its professors and deal with their racist and egoistic approach.
Overview
Close to home So I could keep my job and drive home every weekend. It also has a great pre-professional program for pre-med, pre-dentistry, and pre-pharmacy that puts the kids together and they make friends and have labs and classes together. It brought me my closest friends and they are people who think like me.
Scholarship
I got $3000 entrance, $1500 from my school, and an $8000 residence scholarship.
Overview
I chose this particular university because between the two universities in my province I had head better things about these one's social work program. It allows you to do multiple practicums during your time here. It's a great program with great Professors.
Overview
I chose to attend the University of Regina mainly because it is close to home. They also offer an excellent education program so I felt the need to take advantage of that. I have many family members who have attended the University of Regina at some point in their academic careers so that really helped drive my decision.
