All the process from filling the form to paying the fees is online.  You have to go to the college to show the 10 and 12 standard mark sheets. Keep your passport photographs and your certificates, these should be self attested. Fill in the online application form. Check the schedule for counseling at the official website.  The admission process is based on merit and first come first serve mostly for the BA department. Ans. One of my friends is an alumnus of Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College (DAVC), who studied B.Sc. Here is his experience in brief.  The teaching approach of the faculty members is impressive. The admission in the B.A. program, based on merit and seat availability. The infrastructure of the college is also decent.  As a BA student, you will have the opportunities to prove yourself in academics and co-curricular activities.  The competitions, parties, etc. will make you more comfortable speaking in public.  The library is great and so is the overall environment on campus.  Doing BA from DAV college can be a great option if you are interested in the Civil Service examination.  DAVC is an ordinary college, but it is an excellent institute for pursuing an undergraduate degree. Read more

Ans. Overall, DCAC is a quintessential and fairly standard college. However, if you are a new student looking for admission, this is a good college to consider. If you only have one option, go with DCAC. The faculty members determine whether or not a department is worthwhile. Faculty members are highly qualified and experienced. Students have always provided positive feedback, particularly for the Economics Department. Another factor to consider is your sincerity, seriousness, consistency, and punctuality with regard to the subject, as well as your desire to become enlightened.Read more

Ques. Which one is better for a BA in Economics, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, DCAC or Symbiosis School of Economics?

Ans. Shaheed Bhagat Singh and DCAC offer a BA in Economics. Whereas, Symbiosis School of Economics offers a BSc (Hons.) in Economics. SBSC is ranked 151 out of 200 top colleges in India by NIRF. DCAC is ranked 31 out of 120 in Arts by India Today. NIRF has ranked SSE in the 20th position in India. Admission: All the colleges take admission based on merit however, the major difference lies between their cut-offs, which vary every year. For the year 2019, the cut off for Shaheed Bhagat Singh and DCAC went as high as 96% for BA Economics. Institute SBSC DCAC SSE Course Fee 20,155/- 27,285/- 2.02 lakhs Placements: SBSC- Around 40% of students get placed at SBSC, with an average package of 5-7 LPA. The highest salary package received by the students is 16 LPA. Top recruiters at the institute are Deloitte, Mc Kinsey, TresVista, DE Shaw, etc. DCAC- The placement rate at DCAC is 35%. Students get placed in companies like Google, Ernst, and Young, Barclays, Capital-IQ, Genpact, IBM, ICICI Prudential, etc. The average CTC is 3 LPA. SSE- The average package received by the students of SSE is 3.5 LPA. The top recruiters at the institute are Ernst and Young, Deloitte, Honeywell, Deutsche Bank, Wipro, Hudl, Tresvista, Teach for India, FRR Forex. All the colleges provide various scholarships to their students mainly based on their economic status as well as their academic performance. Ans. At Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, the BA program has 4 subjects in each semester. There are a total of 6 semesters. Discipline subjects are those that students get to choose and they have to study these subjects for the whole 6 semesters.  There are many combinations of subjects, such as Economics+English, Political Science+Philosophy, Maths+Economics, etc. Whatever combination you choose you will need to study that for the whole 6 semesters and you can’t change afterward. In the first semester, you will have to study one English (compulsory) and one Ability Enhancement course. You can choose these subjects while applying for admission. In the second semester, you will have to study one Hindi and Environmental Science. In third semester, you will need to study one English and one skill enhancement course. For fourth semester, you will have to study one Hindi and one SEC.  For the fifth and sixth semesters, you will get the opportunity to choose one generic elective subject based on your discipline.
