Ans. Department of Management Studies or DMS IIT Delhi is one of the top 5 management colleges in the country. DMS IIT Delhi is known for its flagship full-time MBA and MBA Telecom programs. Admission to these courses is entrance based. The college accepts CAT scores and the application can be filled out online by visiting the DMS IIT Delhi website. The minimum cutoff for MBA and MBA Telecom Program at DMS IIT Delhi is 90 percentile. However, the actual cutoff for admission remains around the 98-99 percentile. As compared to IMT Ghaziabad, DMS IITD is a way better option to pursue an MBA. But admission is definitely harder than that of IMT Ghaziabad. Ans. While many MBA aspirants consider nothing better than IIMs, I have an altogether different opinion in this regard. This opinion stems from my sister's experience last year when she completed her MBA from DMS, IIT Delhi. IIT Delhi is a magical place that harnesses your talents to the fullest and helps you identify your strengths and overcome your weaknesses. An excellent peer group promotes healthy competition and growth  The overall ambiance and culture at the IIT combined with the rich alumni base make it possible to gain an enriching experience. The older the institute and program the more brand value it carries. IITs MBA program dates back to 1997 and fulfills this age criterion excellently. The most important is the fees which are less than half the fees of other top B Schools. This results in great return on investment with the placements being almost on par with most B Schools The small batch size of 120 promotes great peer interactions as well as student-teacher relations. I certainly don’t mean to undermine the B schools, what I mean is IIT Delhi DMS is not that bad an idea for an MBA.Read more

Ques. Which of the following is better in terms of placements: IIM K, IIM I, ISB, FMS or XLRI?

Ans. ISB caters to working professionals with more than 2 years of experience. If you do not belong to this category, this institution is not for you.  Now coming to the other options, The HR program of XLRI is very old and renowned. Because of it, XLRI receives a slightly higher number of recruiters. This boosts its average package. Its limited batch size also benefits its placements. IIMK, FMS and XLRI receive more or less the same companies. But IIMK and XLRI attract MBB (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) for their front end roles, which IIMI and FMS do not.  Considering all these factors, XLRI is the best choice, mainly because of its small batch size. It is followed by IIMK and FMS, and IIM Indore comes last.Read more

Ans. The PGP-HRM program at IIM Indore is well known for being an inaugural of innovative programs. The duration of the program is 2 years comprising 6 terms. During the Placement Season 2022-23 of IIM Indore, the fourth batch of PGP HRM at IIM Indore welcomed a large number of recruiters from diverse sectors. In all, 20 recruiters offered roles to the students of IIM Indore’s 2023 Batch of PGPHRM. The total intake this year was 38 students only. Here are some additional placement highlights of this program Students of this program received roles in various domains in HR  BFSI : The main recruiters of this domain were Hero Fincorp, ICICI Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Consulting : The next top domain was Consulting and companies like Deloitte USI, EXL Service, Capgemini, and Willis Towers Watson recruited students in this domain. Manufacturing: The top recruiters in the Manufacturing domain were Vedanta and Nuvoco Vistas.  Miscellaneous: Other top recruiters included GAIL(PSU), Biocon, Crompton Greaves and Winzo. Ans. IIM Ahmedabad or any other IIM does not consider the type of college the candidate belonged to as eligibility criteria. So rest your worries and apply for MBA in your dream college even if your undergrad BBA college was a less reputed one. Regarding your undergraduate college, the only criteria are the minimum marks for appearing for the CAT exam i.e. 50%. All you need to do is get an excellent CAT score. To get admission to any IIM, you need to focus on things like CAT score, 10th, 12th, Bachelor grade. The school and colleges from where you acquired your education do not matter at all. What matters is that your academic profile should reflect your excellent scores and involvement in extracurricular activities  So, appear for CAT, aim a 98.5+ percentile, and get admission to IIM Ahmedabad.
