Ques. Should I go for a PGDM in marketing in Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow or in Indira School of Business Studies, Pune??

Ans. Both of them, Jaipuria Institute of management and Indira School of Business Studies are reputed private business schools. Jaipuria, Lucknow is ranked 68 for MBA by NIRF, whereas Indira School of Business Studies is ranked 29 for the same by TOI. Both these institutes are AICTE recognized. Admission: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow- The PGDM program in Marketing offered by Jaipuria is NBA and AIU accredited and is equivalent to MBA. Jaipuria takes admission on the basis of CAT, MAT, GMAT, scores. For the final selection, the institute also conducts Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. The total course fee is 9.45 lakhs. Indira School of Business Studies- PGDM admission at Indira is based on the score secured in CAT/XAT/MAT. It also considers MAH CET scores for admission. The shortlisted candidates need to go through GD, PI, and counseling for admission. The total course fee at ISBS is 7.2 lakhs. Placements: Jaipuria has a centralized placement system and offers better placement as compared to ISBS. Ans. According to my friends studying at Indira School of Business Studies (ISBS) Pune, it is among the leading PGDM colleges in Pune. ISBS was awarded as the Best Institute Overall in IGI in "WORLD HRD CONGRESS 2019. They conduct the Comprehensive Career and Leadership Development Program (CLDP) which focuses on skill development of students. CLDP has an essential role in the teaching and learning curriculum for the PGDM course. It assists the students in acquiring professional skills and building a personality. ISBS Pune offers PGDM Course admission as PGDM general and PGDM in marketing in two shifts. Students can take PGDM course admission in either of these shifts as per their preference. The infrastructure here is highly developed. Access to the lab is available to its students with wi-fi facilities. ISBS has a highly qualified faculty. Practical knowledge is given more preference than mugging up from books. Ques. Which college is better for a PGDM/MBA from ISBS Pune and IMS Indore?

Ans. Having friends in both colleges, in my opinion, ISBS Pune is much better than IIM Indore. Let me share some details, as to why I feel this way. First of all, location-wise, Pune is a really good location as compared to Indore when it comes to looking for jobs as well as lifestyle. The course curriculum and the faculties are really good at ISBS. If you are looking for a really good student crowd, you will find that at ISBS and even IIMP Pune. There are a number of advantages you will get to explore if you join ISBS. The college has an educational foreign trip to Singapore and also provides laptops to students. There are also a number of international and national seminars you can attend. You will also be able to gain a lot of certifications and go for industry visits. You will also have placement training for GDPI.
