Ans. Being an MBA from IIT Kanpur myself I can vouch for the institution. I think opting for an MBA from IIT Kanpur is a better choice than going for the PGDISEM program from NITIE. IIT Kanpur MBA is known for its excellent curriculums and research opportunities that it offers to the students including the summer internship programs. IIT Kanpur MBA department is ranked 23 rd  in the NIRF ranking. The placement for the MBA department is remarkable with almost 90% of students being offered placements. The highest package is INR 24 LPA and the average package is INR 18.14 LPA . Ans. The Department of Management Sciences (DoMS, formerly IME) offers MBA at IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur is one of the oldest and most renowned IITs, and it stands at 23rd position among the top Management colleges, as per the NIRF 2023 Ranking. I am an MBA student at IIT Kanpur, so I am eligible to answer this question. Most MBA students on campus have converted XIMB, IMT G, IMI D, DSE, etc.; yet they chose IIT Kanpur over these institutions. The learning pedagogy at IIT Kanpur is really good, and corporate relations are also managed well. ROI is an added advantage for MBA students at IIT Kanpur. The total fee is approximately INR 3.67 lakhs for a General Category and OBC student, and even less for an SC/ST category student (0 tuition fee for SC/ST/PH category).  In terms of placements, in 2023, the highest CTC was INR 24 LPA, the average CTC received by the top 50% of students was INR 22.20 LPA, and the median CTC was INR 17.25 LPA. The list of key recruiters included McKinsey & Company, Wells Fargo, Deloitte, PWC, HDFC Bank, and more. Even the lowest CTC was INR 12.41 LPA. It has managed to secure good placements for the last few years. Before we dwell on the placement statistics, some basic details about the MBA offered at IIT Kanpur are Flagship course: MBA Fees: ?84,075 (1st Year Fees) Graduation: Graduation with 50% + CAT Placements:  Particulars  Statistics  Number of companies 32 PPOs 43 Highest CTC  INR 20 LPA Average of top 25% INR 16.86 LPA  Average of top 50% INR 15.45 LPA Top recruiters include  Wells Fargo Wipro Deloitte Optum Indiamart Associate Consultant  The most appealing aspect is the high RPI offered by IIT Kanpur. Ans. As opposed to the general assumption, MBA at IIT Kanpur isn’t limited to the Operations domain only and also covers Marketing. In fact, its program is very much comparable to IMT G MBA. Here are some common points of comparison  Ratios: The student-company ratio as well as the faculty-student ratio is better at IIT Kanpur than at IMT G.  Infrastructure: Being a government institute, IITs have better infrastructure than a private institutes like IMT G ROI: IIT Kanpur fees are around INR 2.80 Lakh whereas that of IMT G is Rs. 19.38 lakhs. The huge difference itself speaks of the ROI advantage at IIT Kanpur. Batch size: The IIT Kanpur MBA batch size is around 78 while that of IMT Ghaziabad is 500 which is more than 5 times. This creates problems during placements. Brand name: Although IMT Ghaziabad is well known for its MBA program, the IIT tag overshadows it owing to its global recognition.
