NSCBMC Certification FAQs
Ques. What Certificate programmes does NSCBMC Jabalpur offer and what is the fee?
Ans. NSCBMC Jabalpur offers Certificate courses in Operation Theatre Technician and Health Inspector. Both are 1-year full-time programmes affiliated to RDVV Jabalpur, with a total fee of ₹38,000 each. Admission is merit-based on 10+2 marks; no entrance test is required.
Ques. Which Certificate programme has more seats at NSCBMC — OTT or Health Inspector?
Ans. The Certificate in Health Inspector at NSCBMC has 50 seats, making it the larger-intake certificate course. The OTT certificate programme’s seat count should be confirmed with NSCBMC directly at the time of application. Both courses are merit-based with no entrance test.
Ques. What is the career scope after a Certificate in Operation Theatre Technician from NSCBMC?
Ans. OTT certificate holders work as operation theatre technicians in government hospitals, private surgical centres, day-care surgery units, and super-specialty hospitals. Training at NSCBMC’s busy multi-specialty OTs covering major surgical disciplines provides strong practical exposure. With experience, OTTs advance to OT supervisor roles; candidates can also pursue Diploma or B.Sc in OTT for career advancement.
Ques. What career options are available after a Certificate in Health Inspector from NSCBMC?
Ans. Certificate in Health Inspector graduates are eligible for Health Inspector posts in municipal corporations, urban local bodies, Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centres, and state health departments in Madhya Pradesh. NHM MP and Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Authority also recruit Health Inspectors. Experienced Health Inspectors may advance to Senior Health Inspector or Public Health Supervisor roles.
Ques. Can I apply for both OTT and Health Inspector certificates simultaneously at NSCBMC?
Ans. Both programmes are admitted separately through RDVV Jabalpur and NSCBMC. Candidates can apply for both, but typically enroll in one programme at a time due to the full-time nature of both courses. Check NSCBMC’s official notification to confirm whether simultaneous applications are permitted for the current session.
Ques. What scholarships can reduce the fee for Certificate programmes at NSCBMC Jabalpur?
Ans. Eligible SC/ST/OBC/EWS students from Madhya Pradesh can apply for the Medhavi Chhatra Yojana (up to 100% tuition reimbursement) via the DMET MP portal, and the MP Post-Matric Scholarship at scholarships.mp.gov.in. The NSP Central Sector Scholarship (₹12,000/year) is available at scholarships.gov.in for eligible students with family income below ₹8,00,000. Given the ₹38,000 total fee, eligible scholarship recipients may reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket costs.
