PMCH Patna Faculty

The faculty at PMCH is highly qualified, experienced, and cooperative, comprising of top doctors from various medical fields, including Padma Shree awardee Dr. BC Roy. There are more than 40 to 50 faculties in each subject, ensuring a favorable faculty-to-student ratio of 1:10. Faculty recruitment is government-based, focusing on qualifications. While most faculty members are approachable and helpful, some lack enthusiasm in teaching, often reading from slides in lecture classes.

Practical sessions are well-staffed, with four professors for 200 students, and emphasize hands-on experience, clinical maneuvers, and patient-oriented learning. Students can clear doubts personally or through WhatsApp groups. The college conducts four exams yearly, including internal, semester, and university exams, with a passing requirement of 50% overall and 40% in each paper. Despite some challenges, the structured mentor-mentee program and supportive faculty contribute positively to student learning.
