Dr. AIT Bangalore Admission 2027 is open for BE, BBA, BCA, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and Ph.D. Dr. AIT is the Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology at Mallathahalli, near the Jnana Bharathi campus in Bengaluru. It is a government aided, autonomous college affiliated to VTU, and it does not hold its own entrance test. BE seats are filled through KCET and KEA counselling, through COMEDK UGET, or through the management quota. M.Tech, MBA and MCA seats are filled through Karnataka PGCET and KEA counselling. For 2026 to 27, a BE student on an aided KCET seat paid INR 65,500 a year. KCET 2027 registration should open on 17 Jan 2027 (tentative, based on last year).
Dr. AIT Bangalore BE Admission 2027
Dr. AIT offers BE in 13 branches with 1,290 seats for 2026 to 27. Computer Science and Engineering is the largest branch, with 360 seats. Information Science and Engineering has been merged into it from this year. Electronics and Communication has 180 seats, and Civil and Mechanical have 120 each. Industrial Engineering and Management is the smallest branch, with 30 seats. Your rank and the order of your options decide the branch you get.
Dr. AIT Bangalore BE Eligibility 2027
You need to pass Class 12 with Physics and Maths. Your third subject can be Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics. You need 45% in these subjects. If you belong to a reserved group, you need 40%. You also need a KCET rank for a KEA seat or a COMEDK UGET rank for a COMEDK seat.

Dr. AIT offers M.Tech in five branches with 97 seats for 2026 to 27. Computer Science and Engineering has 25 seats. VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, Structural Engineering, and Robotics and Artificial Intelligence have 18 seats each. Robotics and Artificial Intelligence is a new branch this year. KEA fills most seats through PGCET, and the college fills the rest under the management quota.

Why does Dr. AIT have two KCET codes?▾
Dr. AIT has aided seats under code E004 and unaided seats under code E060. An aided seat cost INR 65,500 a year in 2026 to 27, and an unaided seat cost INR 1,29,310. Add both codes to your option list if you want more chances.
Is Dr. AIT a government college?▾
No, but it is a government aided college run by the Panchajanya Vidya Peetha Welfare Trust. That is why some seats carry a lower aided fee. Your degree comes from VTU, a state university.
What happened to Information Science at Dr. AIT?▾
AICTE approved merging Information Science and Engineering into Computer Science and Engineering for 2026 to 27. That is why Computer Science now has 360 seats. If you wanted Information Science, look at the Computer Science seats instead.
What does the SC and ST fee of INR 41,310 cover?▾
