GSSSIETW Mysore Admission 2027 is open for B.E, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. GSSSIETW is the GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women on KRS Road, Metagalli, Mysuru. It is a college for women only, and it is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. GSSSIETW does not hold its own entrance test. You get a B.E seat through KCET, COMEDK UGET or the management quota. The KEA code for GSSSIETW is E133, and the COMEDK code is E055. M.Tech and MBA seats are filled through Karnataka PGCET and KEA counselling, or through management seats. For a Ph.D, you pass the VTU research test and then meet a GSSSIETW research centre. KCET 2027 registration should open on 17 Jan 2027 (tentative, based on last year).
GSSSIETW Mysore B.E Admission 2027
GSSSIETW has 540 B.E seats in five branches for 2026 to 27. Computer Science and Engineering and ECE have 180 seats each. CSE (AI and ML), AI and Data Science and EEE have 60 seats each. From 2026 to 27, AICTE has merged Information Science and Engineering into CSE. In every branch, 45% of the seats go to KCET, 30% to COMEDK and 25% to the management quota.
GSSSIETW Mysore B.E Eligibility 2027
GSSSIETW admits only women, so you must be a girl to apply. You need to pass 2nd PUC or Class 12 with Physics and Maths. Your third subject can be Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Electronics or Computer Science. You need 45% in these three subjects together, or 40% if you are SC, ST or Category 1 from Karnataka. On a KCET general seat, you pay INR 1,30,320 at KEA and INR 15,000 at GSSSIETW. That makes INR 1,45,320 for the first year. The INR 15,000 is for career guidance and skill labs, and VTU says this part is optional. A COMEDK seat costs INR 2,51,710 a year in CSE, CSE (AI and ML) and AI and DS, and INR 2,26,710 in ECE. GSSSIETW has not put the management fee on its website.

GSSSIETW has 120 MBA seats, the largest PG course in the college. The Department of MBA teaches it over two years, for women only. You can pick Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management or Business Analytics, or take two of them together. KEA fills the PGCET seats, and the rest are management seats. The PGCET code for the GSSSIETW MBA is B180.

GSSSIETW has research centres that VTU has approved. They cover ECE, CSE, EEE, ISE, Electronics and Instrumentation, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and MBA. VTU gives the Ph.D degree, and GSSSIETW gives you a guide and a lab. Most scholars here study part time while they work.

Short answers to what students ask before they apply.
Can boys apply for B.E at GSSSIETW?▾
No. GSSSIETW takes only girls in every course. If you are a boy, add other colleges to your KEA and COMEDK lists instead.
Is Information Science and Engineering still offered?▾
Not for new students from 2026 to 27. AICTE merged ISE into CSE, so CSE now has 180 seats. Students who joined ISE earlier finish their course as planned.
Is CSE (AI and ML) a separate branch from CSE?▾
Yes. It has its own 60 seats and its own option on the KEA and COMEDK lists. You study computer science with more work on AI. Add both if you like computers.
What is the difference between CSE (AI and ML) and AI and Data Science?▾
Both have 60 seats here. CSE (AI and ML) keeps a full computer science base, while AI and Data Science leans more on data and statistics. Read both syllabi on the VTU site before you fill options.
Is the INR 15,000 skill lab fee a must?▾
VTU says the skill lab fee is optional for students. GSSSIETW lists it as career guidance and skill labs. Ask the office what you get for it before you decide.
What is an SNQ seat?▾
SNQ seats are extra KCET seats for students from low income families. You pay a much lower fee at KEA. You pick them during KEA option entry if you qualify.
I studied Class 12 outside Karnataka. Which seats can I take?▾
You can take a COMEDK seat or a management seat. KCET seats are mostly for Karnataka students. Keep your migration certificate ready, because the college asks for it.
Do students from other states pay more on a COMEDK seat?▾
Yes, a little. VTU charges an eligibility fee of INR 1,800 to students from outside Karnataka. You pay it once, when you join.
Do I need to visit a centre for the KCET document check?▾
No. The KCET document check is online now. Upload clear scans on the KEA portal and keep the slip, because you may need it at reporting.
What is the study certificate from Class 1?▾
It is a set of letters from your schools that shows where you studied each year, up to 2nd PUC. You arrange them from the latest to the oldest. Ask your schools early, as it can take time.
How do I pay the college part of the fee?▾
GSSSIETW takes the college fee online only, through Google Pay or PhonePe. Keep the payment screenshot and the receipt. Do not carry cash for fees.
What are the other fees of INR 20,000?▾
They cover things like your ID card, induction, insurance, sports, ICT, stationery and campus upkeep for the year. On a KEA seat they are part of the KEA fee. Ask for a receipt for every payment.
Is there a hostel for girls?▾
Yes. The GSSS Rukuminiyamma Girls Hostel has room for more than 800 students and serves vegetarian food. The hostel fee is not on the website, so ask the office before you book.
What is the bridge course?▾
It is a short course before first year classes. It helps you revise maths and science and settle in. Management seat students began it on 17 Aug last year.
Is GSSSIETW accredited?▾
Yes. NAAC has accredited the college. NBA has accredited ECE, CSE and ISE up to June 2026, and EEE up to June 2027. The college says ECE has gone through NBA again.
Can a diploma holder join in the second year?▾
Yes. DCET is the KEA test for diploma students, and it fills second year seats. Keep your marks cards of all six semesters ready for reporting.
Will the KCET fee be the same in 2027?▾
Not for sure. The government and private colleges agree on the fee each year. Use the 2026 fee to plan, and check the new GSSSIETW notice in July 2027.
Does the college help with transport?▾
Yes. GSSSIETW runs a transport facility for students. The campus is on KRS Road in Mysuru, so ask the office which routes run in your year.
Is there a mentor for every student?▾
Yes. GSSSIETW runs a mentoring system where a teacher looks after a small group. Talk to your mentor early if you find a subject hard.
Whom do I contact if someone rags me?▾
Go to the anti ragging committee at once. You can also call the national anti ragging helpline, 1800 180 5522. Your complaint is kept private.
