Being a 3rd year student I didn't appear in college placement yet but talking with our seniors they says placement is very much good and all we'll known companies are come for placements.
Till now I'm not provided any internship because I'm a 2nd year student. Based on the requirements and eligibility criteria of the recruiting companies, eligible students’ profiles are shortlisted for the drives and the concerned students are intimated. • On the day of the drives, the eligible students are required to report to the C.C.A within the notified time and venue. • After the recruitment process is over, results are announced. • Various categories of drives like on-campus, off-campus, pooled campus are conducted. • Placement support will also be received from newly launched MAKAUT Placement Portal
Before our times students used to get the golden opportunities of numerous core companies like L&T, Ambuja and so many reputed MNCs till 2011, but from according to the market situation we(2013 batch) faced the blow of core job crisis but still managed to get a job from some off campus interviews. I got a job from campus with a CTC of 1.8Lacs PA. The percentage figure of on campus placement in that year was below 50%.
Our course and college placement cell arranges and provides mostly the full time jobs placement on/off campus. May be, in present days some opportunities are there for internship which could be guided better by our placement cell and website.
Overall the Placement was good. Since it is located outskirts of Kolkata, there is less On-campus placements. Though, the shortage is overcomed by college organised Off-campus Placements. I myself sat for TATA Steel Larsen & Toubro, Jindal and Jay Balajee. I got placed in Larsen & Toubro bagging the highest package in the batch. In the near end of our 8th Sep, several companies came including Alstom.By the time, we passed, almost 62 were placed out 68 batch strength.
No, The college does not offer internship, since the curricula approved by WBUT and AICTE does not have such relaxations.
