I wrote PGCET govt examination, I got 39 score out of 100. And I secured 6089 rank. Why I opted this college because it was near to my hometown & also this college has good faculty as well as good placement training and drive. Even here HOD was top manager of HUL company before, even tata south Africa CEO comes to teach. So that its better to go for this college.
Entrance exam underwent : CET, What made you choice the Course : I had completed by Diploma in Computer Science and was looking for same stream. Although my seat was free seat according to diploma Quota we had, i was only left with paying the college fees for rest of 3 years. This includes CET fees which was paid in first year.
Placements was excellent. there was separate placement community group created with an COO officer to look after. many students was hired to different company in our first out going batch. Companies like SPAN, Birla soft, Honey well, etc. They were offering nearly 2.5 to 3 for some people and for some nearly 4. After our batch, i have heard that there are people who are getting more than this in their campus selection.
I was interested in ECE, so I joined ECE in MITE through CET. Even though so many other options were there, i found ECE course more interesting.
Mangalore region is not much known for placement activities. Our college brought so many companies, but only some of them are good companies. Tech mahindra with package 3.3 per annum. Some other companies are hcl, Pompeii, hgs, diya, qspiders, manipal group, good through software solutions.
I took KCET exam and i got 20,000 rank and then i choosed this college by asking seniors who were in that college and their experience.
I got in through CET. I scored 4343 rank.
Very less placements took place. Very few BPO and one or two companies came to campus. I don't remember the company names. Very few got placed. I heard that for the further batches the conditions improved. I don't know much about current status.
