National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) Mumbai has begun the registration process for Post-Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM), Post Graduate Diploma In Industrial Engineering (PGDIE) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Industrial Sustainable Management (PGDSM) courses for admission to the academic year of 2021-22.
NITIE located in Mumbai was established jointly by MHRD, Government of India and UNDP of ILO in 1963. It aims to offer quality education in Industrial & Environmental management along with Industrial Safety. NITIE has been ranked #12 among other institutions by 2020 NIRF rankings. It is considered at par with IITs, IIMs and IISc in the country among 15 other institutions.

Ques. What is the cutoff for NITIE?
Ans. The NITIE Mumbai cutoff for CAT indicates the minimum marks or percentile for the students to secure to get admission. Generally, The highest cutoff is 97 and the lowest is 86 percentiles depending on the course selected. The NITIE Mumbai cutoff of the PGDIM program is 97 and the cutoff of the PGDISEM program is usually above 90 percentile.
Ques. Does NITIE accept XAT score?
Ans. NITIE Admissions to PGDIM and PGDISEM programs are done the basis of candidates’ marks or percentile secured in CAT – Common Aptitude Test. Candidates having not cleared CAT will not be eligible for PG admissions. Management entrance exams like XAT, MAT or other examination scores will not be considered.
Ques. What financial aid is available for the Fellowship program at NITIE?
Ans. All the regular students admitted to the fellowship program will receive INR 25,000 during the first and second year of the program and INR 28,000 during the third and fourth year as per the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Candidates must note: One can avail only single stipend/ scholarship/ fee-waiver, no other financial assistance will be provided beyond 4 years.
Ques. Do I have to choose a specialization in 2nd Year or is it a General MBA?
Ans. NITIE provides a 2-Year full-time MBA degree in general management program. The first year of the program has the common syllabus for all, one has the option of choosing electives based on their interest in the second year.
Ques. What is the seat intake capacity of seats in each program?
Ans. The number of seats as per program varies from course to course. The seat intake capacity of PGDIM and PGDISEM is 274 and 39 respectively. 15% of the total seats is reserved for international candidates in each course as per NITIE admission procedure.
