It was my passion to be a Mechanical Engineer and this college helped me to be great in it. There are workshops and every facility for mechanical students. the largest workshop in this college is for mechanical students. there is immense space for working inside the workshop. Teachers are also very supportive and educated. Most of the teachers had PhD from reputed institutes. There were 6-7 faculty for a class of 70 students. Exams were conducted 1 per day which gives time for preparing to next exam.
The campus have good infrastructure and the lab facilities are awesome we have hostel facility for both girls and boys. We do have great teachers to lead the path Coming to syllabus there are some issues regarding it but still it covers all
The whole course is divided into 2 years. Each year is further divided into 2 semesters. Professors are highly knowledgeable and have good understanding of their particular subjects. Every professor has a good knowledge of the industry as well as minimum 7 years of teaching experience.
The faculty of the college are experienced and also accompanied by guest lecturers who seem cooler than the college faculty. Many of the faculty are from the same district, and all can be approached for further doubt clearing, etc. The teacher to student ratio is low, but the quality weighs for it.
Fees are lover compared to other coleges because our college is run by the state and only 10, 000 is charged by the college every year. They help us by making the mode of payment by online and at the beginning of the admission we must pay upto a amount of 25, 000.
Exams are conducted regularly for the students to keep track on the subjects and other assignments are given regularly for students to do their own research regarding the subjects. Also every student is required to take seminars on specific topic related to the course.
There is no fees basically because it is a government college and at exam times they ask for exam fees as its very low as Rs 100 and only expensive fees only for college tour. As its a 2 days trip other than that there is no fee as I already said it is government oriented.
Exams are conducted in omr sheet.total of 6 subject and 2 exams are conducted at a time. Teachers were very supportive and help us studying The subjects were mathematics, welding theory, engineering drawings, English, entrepreneurship. It's quite difficult to study and pass.
Fee structure is most feasible. Rit is a government college. As per government rules and regulations fees are very feasible. In Mtech, tuition fee is 6000 for one semester and exam fee is around 1000. and yearly there is a special fee of 3500. And for me there is bus fare of 1500. other than this, there no other fees.
Rit is under Ktu university. In rit, there are 2 internal exams and an external exam. Internal exam is out of 30. Actually internal exams are more beneficial to our external exams. Almost the same questions are asked in the external also. And the exam structure and the whole system makes students more capable of facing interviewes and other knowledgeable thinkings.
When I joined there fee was 6000 per year which is payable by cash or cheque. There are many scholarships offered by the institution and they maintain full transparency in fee breakdown.the total fee includes course fee and library fee.Bus fare and hostel fee has to be paid separately.
Course contains 8 semesters.first year was on yearly basis unlike today's courses. On first year we have 10 subjects to clear in addition to 3 practical sessions.Following semesters include 6 subjects with 2 lab sessions.Curriculam was designed in order to bring students to the practical sides of the course and it was very helpful for attaining job in future
Since ours was a government college, fees was just Rs 6000. Exam fees was around Rs 1000. Overall per year fees was less than Rs 10000. Every student need to pay Rs 1000 annually as bus fees irrespective of whether using it or not. There was clear transparency in the fee structure as it is a government institute.
I can say about Mechanical Engineering only. At that time the college was under MG University but later in 2015 all colleges in Kerala was brought under one university called Kerala Technical University (KTU). Since I was 2013-17 batch my curriculum was based on MG University. First year there was no semesters i. e. both semesters were combined as year. Subjects were basic engineering courses which touched basics of all departments. All students had the same subjects irrespective of their department. Then we had three labs Mechanical, Electrical and Civil. During this year there were 2 internal exams and 1 annual exam. The results for each subjects were out of 150 marks of which 100 marks was of annual exam and 50 marks from internal assessment which included 2 internal exam, assignments and attendance.
The syllabus was the basic things according to KTU University. Slightly updated and enlarged syllabus. We are getting good lab experiences. Faculties are greatly qualified. Some are friendly though.
