Admission to Siddhant College of Engineering (SCOE), Sudumbare, Pune, is handled through the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP), not by direct entry. Undergraduate B.E. seats are filled on the basis of MHT CET 2026 or JEE Main 2026 scores, while B.E. Lateral Entry runs on diploma merit and the Diploma (Polytechnic) intake is based on Class 10 marks. Postgraduate M.E. seats are allotted on GATE 2026 scores through PG CAP. The college offers in-demand branches such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, AI and Machine Learning, AI and Data Science, Cyber Security, and Internet of Things. Students generally find the admission process well organised once their CET or JEE result is out, with the main work being CAP registration, option entry, and reporting on time. Reserved category and TFWS applicants also value the strong fee concessions available under Maharashtra government norms.

Admission Process and Timeline

All major programmes at SCOE are filled through the DTE Maharashtra CAP. For B.E., MHT CET 2026 (PCM) is held April 11 to 19, 2026 with results on June 16, 2026, after which CAP registration and option entry open in July 2026 and allotment rounds run in August 2026. Classes are expected to begin in September 2026.

The general steps are the same across courses. First, qualify in the relevant exam such as MHT CET, JEE Main, or GATE, or meet the merit basis for diploma and lateral entry. Next, register on the DTE Maharashtra CAP portal and complete document verification. Then fill in college and branch options and accept the allotment. Finally, report to SCOE, pay the fee, and confirm the seat. A separate management or institute-level quota is filled after the CAP rounds conclude.

SCOE Admission FAQs

Ques. Which dates should I be aware of while taking admission in SCOE?

Ans. For B.E., the MHT CET 2026 exam runs April 11 to 19, 2026 with results on June 16, 2026, followed by CAP registration in July 2026 and allotment in August 2026. For M.E., the GATE 2026 result on March 19, 2026 leads into PG CAP between June and August 2026. Diploma applicants should watch the Polytechnic CAP registration in June 2026. Across all courses, reporting on the notified allotment date is the step that secures your seat.

Ques. Is SCOE admission tough to crack?

Ans. Admission is not difficult to navigate. For B.E., a valid MHT CET or JEE Main score is enough to enter the state CAP, and the college accepts a wide score band across its 11 branches. Diploma and lateral entry run on merit without a separate test. The real effort is in completing CAP registration and option entry carefully and reporting on time.

Ques. Does SCOE accept management quota admissions?

Ans. Yes. Around 20 percent of B.E. seats are reserved for the institute-level or management quota, which the college fills directly after the DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds are over. Non-GATE M.E. applicants can also apply for institute-level seats. Candidates interested in these seats should contact the SCOE admission office once the centralised rounds conclude.

Ques. Can I get admission through JEE Main instead of MHT CET?

Ans. Yes. SCOE accepts JEE Main 2026 scores for B.E. admission, and 15 percent of seats under the All India quota are filled through JEE Main merit. Both MHT CET and JEE Main route through the same DTE Maharashtra CAP, so you register and fill options on the state CAP portal regardless of which exam score you use.

Ques. What is one thing I should know before taking admission in SCOE?

Ans. The most important point is that nearly all seats are filled through the DTE Maharashtra CAP, so you must register on the state CAP portal, complete document verification, and fill your branch options within the deadlines. Direct walk-in admission is limited to the institute-level quota after CAP. Keeping your domicile, category, and TFWS documents ready in advance avoids last-minute problems.

Ques. What fee concessions are available for reserved category students?

Ans. The concessions are significant. For B.E. and lateral entry, SC, ST, NT, SBC, and TFWS students pay only the development fee of INR 6,453 per year. For the Diploma, OBC, EWS, EBC, and SEBC students pay half the tuition fee, while SC, ST, NT, SBC, and TFWS students pay only the development and enrollment fees. These benefits are claimed through the state scholarship portal after admission.

Ques. Which B.E. branches are most in demand at SCOE?

Ans. Computer Engineering, Information Technology, AI and Machine Learning, AI and Data Science, and Cyber Security draw the most interest among applicants. All 11 branches carry the same fee of INR 58,500 per year, so the choice usually comes down to branch preference and CET or JEE rank.

Ques. Can diploma holders join the second year directly?

Ans. Yes. Diploma holders in a relevant engineering discipline can enter the second year of B.E. through the DTE Maharashtra DSY lateral entry CAP, based on diploma aggregate percentage. B.Sc graduates with Mathematics are also eligible for this route. The lateral programme runs three years instead of four.

Ques. When do classes begin at SCOE?

Ans. B.E. and M.E. classes are expected to commence in September 2026, after the CAP allotment and reporting formalities. Diploma classes are expected to begin a little earlier, around August 2026, in line with the Polytechnic CAP schedule.
