SCOE Pune Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session at SCOE Pune are governed by DTE Maharashtra through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). MHT CET 2026 for PCM was held in April 2026, with results declared on June 16, 2026. CAP rounds ran from July through September 2026.

SCOE Pune Courses and Fees

SCOE Pune offers BE, BE Lateral Entry, ME, MBA, and PhD programmes. The eight BE branches are uniformly priced, and all 14 ME specialisations share the same fee structure except Communication and Networks. The BE programme spans Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecom Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, and Biotechnology. On-campus hostel accommodation is available at INR 86,000 per year for both boys and girls.

The 14 ME specialisations cover Automotive Engineering, Embedded Systems and VLSI Design, Computer Networking, Structural Engineering, Heat Power, Design Engineering, Signal Processing, Mechatronics, Environmental Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Information Technology, Digital Systems Engineering, and Communication and Networks. This is an unusually wide PG engineering portfolio for a single campus, covering core, electronics, and IT disciplines within one institute.

SCOE Pune Admission Process

SCOE Pune follows two distinct admission tracks: DTE Maharashtra CAP for most UG and PG seats, and a direct Institute Level Quota for 20% of BE seats. Admission to all programmes is merit-based with no GD or PI under the CAP process.

BE Admission

BE admission is primarily through DTE Maharashtra CAP. The seat matrix is divided into three quota categories.

• State Quota (65%): MHT CET percentile determines rank. Candidates register on the DTE CAP portal, fill college and branch preferences, and receive allotment based on merit.
• All India Quota (15%): JEE Main score is used. Candidates from outside Maharashtra may apply through this route via the DTE CAP portal.
• Institute Level Quota (20%): SCOE fills these seats directly. A valid MHT CET or JEE Main score is required. Candidates apply to the SCOE admissions office. No separate interview is needed.
• Tiebreaker: Equal percentile candidates are ranked by Mathematics marks, then Physics marks.

The MHT CET closing percentile for Computer Engineering (General category) under State Quota typically falls in the 82 and above range. Mechanical, Civil, and Production Engineering branches have lower percentile thresholds. Cutoffs vary each CAP round based on seat availability and the total candidate pool.

BE Lateral Entry

Diploma holders in relevant engineering fields may apply to 2nd year BE through the DTE Maharashtra Direct Second Year Engineering CAP. A minimum 45% aggregate in the Diploma is required. The three-year programme fee is INR 4,36,500 for General category.

ME Admission

ME admission is through GATE or MAH ME CET, followed by DTE Maharashtra ME CAP. Candidates must hold a BE or BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate (General) or 45% (Reserved). All 14 ME specialisations are covered under the same CAP process. Total ME fee is INR 1,77,000 for most specialisations.

MBA Admission

MBA admission is through MAH MBA CET, followed by Maharashtra MBA CAP conducted by DTE Maharashtra. Any bachelor degree with at least 50% aggregate (General) qualifies. No GD or PI is required under the CAP process. Total MBA fee is INR 3,03,000 for two years.

SCOE Pune Placements

SCOE Pune placement data for the 2025 season shows an average package of INR 5.6 LPA and a highest package of INR 12.5 LPA. As per NIRF 2025 data, 602 of 1,103 UG students were placed. The IT and Computer Engineering branches consistently record higher placement rates, with core engineering branches seeing fewer campus offers.

The recruiter base spans IT services majors, product companies, and manufacturing firms. Wipro was the largest recruiter by volume with 297 offers, followed by Persistent Systems with 159 offers. Juspay and PayPal offer higher packages in the INR 10-27 LPA range for select profiles. A small cohort of students secured international placement offers with Japanese manufacturing firms including Topy Industries, Fusokoki, and Zuiko Corporation, with packages in the INR 18-27 LPA range.

Mechanical and Civil Engineering placement is limited to Pune-based manufacturing and construction firms. Students targeting core engineering roles benefit from the proximity of Pune’s industrial belt covering automotive and defence sectors.

SCOE Pune Rankings

SCOE Pune holds a NIRF Engineering rank of 109 for 2025, placing it among the top 110 engineering colleges in India. SCOE participates in NIRF under the Engineering category and files annual data returns through the college’s NIRF portal.

SCOE Pune Campus and Infrastructure

The SCOE campus is spread across 50 acres at Vadgaon Ambegaon, on the southern outskirts of Pune. The campus houses all eight BE departments, the ME and MBA blocks, central library, computer labs, and dedicated research laboratories. Pune city centre is about 15 km from the campus.

Separate hostels are available for boys and girls, with fees at INR 86,000 per year each. Mess facilities are available on campus with the mess charge separate from the hostel fee. Being an autonomous institute, SCOE updates its curriculum independently of the SPPU revision cycle, which allows elective coverage in areas like AI, data analytics, and embedded systems within the BE framework.

NBA-accredited BE programmes are housed in departmental blocks with dedicated labs aligned to NBA outcome-based education requirements.
