A review of SIT Mangalore

Likes

The faculty students culture is really friendly.
Cultural events are well promoted and support is given.
Global certification is provided in college. Girls is to boys ratio is almost 1:1

Dislikes

The level of teaching is really. Infrastructure is one of the worst.
The technical support is low in regards of expertise.
They provide sports activities but the standard is low, placement is bad.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offered, however the company coming is really less and the company that comes are having weird requirements like they need 80% girls recruitment only, the average package being 3.5LPA you can understand the state of placement, overall only 20% of students get placed.

Likes

Discipline in terms of dresscode, behaviour
Events and the Cultural activities in the college
Good supportive and encouraging faculties

Dislikes

Wearing Uniform for the first two years in the college
There was some restriction on the non uniform
Phone locker systems and the fees for the locker

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would suggest to take one industrial visit per year so that whatever we learn in text book will be reflct in practical knowledge as well. Also suggestion to create a cultural committee in each sections to have some funn and collaboration. Also try to focus on the weaker students also.

Diverse academic programmes offers a wide range of engineering disciplines with industry, relevant curriculum
Infrastructure well equipped laps, a specious library and a modern classrooms with smart technology
Extra curricular opportunities, technical fest, cultural events, example, and vision, and sports encourage holistic

Dislikes

Placement opportunities while many students, secure jobs, placements for core branches can be limited with a significant focus on IT related rules
Fee structure for management quota, admissions fee may be relatively high, compare to other institutions in region
Student reviews, some students feel the administrative processes could be more streamlined

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the scope in IT field, growing carrier opportunities, computer science and engineering is one of the most in demand fields globally offering lucrative carrier options in software development, artificial intelligence, cyber security.

My thoughts on SIT

Likes

Faculty is really cooperative.The faculties are really friendly and are accessible.
The course syllabus is really good as they cover for the requirement.
The activities they promote is really encouraging.

Dislikes

Labs had to be more developed.The labs are available but still have tto be updated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum has a lot of concepts which help us to become a proper well knowledgeable Marine engineering.But teh course have to be updated to the latest versions.With the present curriculum we can get a job.

ethnotech lab and all are very good in this college
climate are good in this place very college located
some lectures are best and some are not ..

Dislikes

canteen is not good and not well maintained
college fest are not soo good worste than others
no more activity that encourage the students

Likes

College department told us that our department will get placement for 100% sure .
Has good and experienced faculties in our college.
Principal and hod are supportive for any educational purposes.

Dislikes

There is nothing for entertaining in our college.
Sports events are not given any priorities.
Fine will be there even if you have one percentage of shortage.

Placement Experience:

There are more than 5 companies for placements in our college.They are also good companies.Internsip program are started from 1st year itself and placement will begin after the 4th sem or after completing 2 year.

The faculties we motivating and did push us to explore new things

Dislikes

The architecture department was completely isolated from the overall campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course did mould us to think differently but as for the real world applications it was average and no further academic guidance given. Other than that the overall teaching was good as the faculty were welcoming

The college campus is big enough so that you can roam around
There are multiple blocks for respective departments
There is a good viewpoint near my college which is actually good

Dislikes

College management has not been changed for soo long and it’s bad
College washrooms are very unhygienic and smells soo bad and dirty
Canteen food is worst and I saw rat one day in canteen

Course Curriculum Overview:

I needed to study computer science because of many reasons The curriculum prepared me by making me want to learn more about real world problems solutions than other thing Teaching method could been better by using some digital screen or something other than ppt because most of the time the projectors won't be clear

My review on the college?

Likes

The college provides good facility and other things .
It provides placement opportunity to the students as per required in their field.
The placement package in the college starts from 4 lpa and may go upto 8lpa.

Dislikes

The disliked things are that the sports is not given much importance.
The management committee is mean and look after only their needs.
They take a lot of time to complete a minimum work in the college.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem the students become eligible for the campus placements and many companies have visited the campus. Tata consultancy services, Wipro, and other companies. The highest average package offerd was 8LPA . The students should maintain above 8 CGPA to be eligible for the placements. My plans are different i am going to appear for the AFACT exam try to be available for the airforce.

Good college in Mangalore

Likes

The canteen facilities hear is quite good the service is good
Campus is big and surrounding is cover by greenery
The classroom are quite clean and very education friendly

Dislikes

Few Faculty are not experienced enough to teaching engineer student
Infrastructure are so bad and construction are going on
Hostel facilities are not good and mess food is not good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus is quite old and I think we should be taught a modern syllabus. The time for the exam is not sufficient and the syllabus is to big and quite some difficult, the teaching facilities can be modernization and using modern technology

I highly recommend this college to students looking for quality education and excellent career opportunities. The college has highly qualified and supportive faculty members who are always ready to guide students both academically and personally.
