IICT Hyderabad Admissions

The admissions to the Ph.D. programs are based on the interviews conducted. Students with a postgraduate degree can apply through the following steps:

How to apply?

  • Visit the official website regularly and look for the walk-in interview advertisement.
  • Apply in the prescribed format
  • Participate in the walk-in-interview for the selection process. 

Students can apply for Dissertation training programs in their B.Tech/M.Tech/MSc/ B.Pharm / M.Pharm final year dissertation. The procedure to do so is: 

  • Send an email to aau.iict@gov.in. 
  • Include your CV, area of interest, and institute letter in the CV.
  • Wait for the reply and vacancies depends on the availability of staff and place of work in that particular area.

The students admitted for this course are limited. Preference is being given to state/ central institutes and universities with a nominal admission fee.

Ans. Yes, CSIR-IICT also appoints Project Fellow to carry out work on sponsored research (Visit CSIR-IICT website for career opportunities). The selected candidates based on their experience of a minimum of two years, performance records reflected through research publications may be encouraged to join Ph.D. programs.

Ques. Can an already existing project fellow apply to the Ph.D. programs?

Ans. Yes, there is a possibility that the project fellow can get admission to the Ph.D. program. However, keep in mind that joining as a project fellow does not guarantee admission to a Ph.D. program seat.

Ques. When are the admissions accepted?

Ans. The applications are open all through the year. All the Ph.D. students must appear initially for orientation courses like laboratory safety training and communication skills.

Ques. Can I transfer from another institute while doing my Ph.D.?

Ans. No, transferring of Ph.D. students from different organizations is strictly prohibited.
