Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad was established in 1989 under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). The institute is a constituent of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research CSIR is a leading research Institute in the area of chemical sciences. The institute conducts research in basic and applied chemistry, bioinformatics, biochemistry and chemical engineering and provides science and technology inputs to the industrial and economic development of the country. The main objective of the institute is to provide globally competitive environment friendly technologies, to become an innovative global R&D organization in the field of chemical sciences and technology with reference to industrial and specialty chemicals and to establish balance between innovation and discovery research.
