The admissions are absolutely merit based. The conditions of admission are in accordance with the Panjab University. While your selection is merit based, the combination of your courses are your choice however, if you are planning to go for subjects such as Computer science, you must make sure to get them first due to limited seats availability. The placement cell is yet to be created in the college as well as internships. When I was passing out of college, I had to survey and go for interviews on my own to companies to try at as many places as possible to get a job.
The Govt College is an academic oriented Institute that would give you enough benefits in the acadmic field. The ECA activities need attention but, I think the college is working on those issues seriously.
For pursuing BA, students must have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognized board with 50% aggregate marks. College select students through preparing the merit list. My name was there in the first shortlist. After that, I appeared at the university for the documentation process.
Placement cell is good as it?s a government college. The problem is the salary is not as good as the industry?s compensation standards. The training provided is also good. 35 out of 40 students got selected in the placement and average companies visit the campus.
I want to become an IAS officer since childhood. Hence after completing 12th, everyone advised me to take arts stream and prepare for the exams. So, I selected one of the best college in Punjab for my graduation named as Govt College situated in hoshiarpur Punjab. The admission is totally on merit basis.
Placement and job opportunities were not available here. As it was arts stream. Every student like me came here to prepare for the competitive examinations and rest of the students want to gain arts skills to open art galleries. Internship was not provided by the college. Definitely, I didn't get placement here but I gained different skills here.
Our college just do not excel in education but also teach us the culture of our own state and country. Our faculties guides us to perform extra ordinary in any cultural programs and festivals, they encourage us to be a better student everyday.
I registered myself via college website and in the second process i applied for the B.Sc course online by sharing my details and academic history. After registration process i had to apply for the PU-CET(UG) exam based on which i was allotted a seat in this college.
Our college provides only bachelor degree courses and thus usually do not have placement but students are guided well to appear for job interviews and job examination for off campus drive. Internship is not provided from college's side and like one of my friend got the opportunity from outer source to intern with a reputed company.
I really enjoy going to this college and it gives me so many good friends and very interactive and find hearted teachers. Studies is not everything but the student also want social exposure and the thing is taken into account by the college authority.
Standards who want to apply in this college must ensure that they have passed 10 + 2 examination from any recognised board. Apart from it the student has to clear the entrance examination that is PU - CET .

Job opportunities, placements, internship these things are not provided by the college but yet we learn every required skills, knowledge and talent which help us to get a job further.
The college environment is remarkably good and learning. The only thing is it can work on the placement opportunities for students other than that everything is just perfect. We learn a lot of thing in the institute.
I have score 83.6 percentage in my +2 exam so the admission was done directly on that basis other than that admission is granted on the basis of the student's performance in Punjab University Common Entrance Test (PU-CET (UG)) organised by the university.
Maths is my favorite subject hence I decided to study further by choosing Msc in mathematics. The college. The selection criteria was based on my graduation marks and my PU-CET entrance exam. Later on I was called for an interview.
The placement is very good. The college provides internships as well. Many students got a job in various places. I got placed in MVN school as a professor or mathematics. My classmates some of them went for higher education and some were placed in big companies.
