Placement cell is good as it?s a government college. The problem is the salary is not as good as the industry?s compensation standards. The training provided is also good. 35 out of 40 students got selected in the placement and average companies visit the campus.
The placement department of the college undertakes the many activities to achieve 100% placement record. The college ensures to provide quality placement from reputed companies to all students under various departments.
Placement cell is decent, faculties are kept working for providing a better on-campus placement. We have to do an internship during his course. The students with 70% aggregate will get a chance for placements. The teachers are good and well-educated.
The placements at Govt college are good, the average package for the students is around rupees 3.5-4 lkhs per annum. Many students choose to go for further studies aswell. The placement cell of my college organizes an annul internship fair aswell.
The placements used to held at the end of third year where we had to fill the placement form. Various institutes used to come and interview although it was recommended to study further for the Masters. Portals like study portal, full marks, Aakash Institute came to interview on the basis of academy performances. The students filling the job application form were placed with an average package of Rs.4 lakhs per annum and 80% of them used to get placed.
Approximately 90 % of the registered candidates got placed from our course, and the good thing about those placements is that almost 50% went into a core field, which was a very good number. The highest salary package offered was 14 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6 LPA.
The placement cell is yet to be created in the college as well as internships. When I was passing out of college, I had to survey and go for interviews on my own to companies to try at as many places as possible to get a job.
The placement and internship possibility is a concern in the college. Although, they have formed a comittee but, the work is still very slow and ineffective. I was hoping for some work opportunity from them but, the seniors told me the reality of the placement cell.
Placement and job opportunities were not available here. As it was arts stream. Every student like me came here to prepare for the competitive examinations and rest of the students want to gain arts skills to open art galleries. Internship was not provided by the college. Definitely, I didn't get placement here but I gained different skills here.
