Ques. What is the total fee for DSIMS PhD Management?
Ans. The total fee for the PhD in Management at DSIMS, Mumbai, is INR 89,015 for the full programme duration of 3 to 6 years. This includes a refundable library deposit of INR 5,000 returned at programme completion. An application fee of INR 2,000 is payable separately. NET/GATE/JRF qualified candidates may additionally access the UGC/CSIR Junior Research Fellowship, which provides monthly financial support throughout the research period.
Ques. Is the UoM PET mandatory for DSIMS PhD admission?
Ans. No, the University of Mumbai PhD Entrance Test is not mandatory for all applicants. Candidates holding valid UGC-NET, CSIR NET, SLET, GATE, or INSPIRE qualifications, or those awarded a Junior Research Fellowship from a recognised apex body, are fully exempt from the PET. The University of Mumbai PhD Entrance Test score carries 70% of the total weightage, while the personal interview conducted at the DSIMS Malad West campus contributes the remaining 30%. For candidates exempted from the PET (NET/GATE/JRF holders), the personal interview forms the primary evaluation. A final merit list is published after the interview round, and seats are allotted based on this composite score.
