SIMS Pune Admission Dates 2027

SIMS Pune MBA admissions for the 2027-29 batch are currently active. SNAP 2026 registration is open and the exam is scheduled in three windows in December 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be called for GE-PI rounds in January to February 2027.

Candidates must register for SNAP 2026 at the official SNAP portal and add SIMS Pune as a preferred institute during registration. The best SNAP score across all three test windows is used for shortlisting. Defence and civilian candidates are shortlisted on separate merit lists.

SIMS Pune Courses and Fees

SIMS Pune offers a two-year full-time MBA with 5 specialisations, an Executive MBA, and a PhD in Management. The MBA carries a two-tier fee structure: Finance and Data Analytics are priced higher than the functional tracks.

Hostel accommodation is mandatory for MBA students and charged separately. The 2-year hostel cost is INR 2,11,800 and mess charges add INR 1,19,600, bringing the 2-year residential cost to INR 3,31,400. The all-in cost for Finance or Data Analytics (course plus residential) is INR 22,24,600. For Marketing, HRM, and Operations it is INR 17,51,400.

SIMS Pune Admission Process

MBA Admission (Defence Category)

SIMS Pune reserves 90% of its 300 MBA seats for the defence community. This includes serving personnel of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, retired officers, and their dependent family members (spouse or children). Defence candidates must produce a valid service certificate, CSD card, or dependent ID at the time of document verification.

Defence candidates must also qualify SNAP and appear in the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) rounds at SIMS Pune. They are shortlisted on a separate merit list. The expected SNAP cutoff for defence candidates is lower than the civilian cutoff, but no official threshold is published by SIMS Pune. Eligible defence candidates should register for SNAP and add SIMS Pune as a preferred institute.

MBA Admission (Civilian Category)

Civilian (open category) candidates compete for 30 seats (10% of total intake) on a separate merit list. The expected SNAP percentile for civilian candidates is 77 or above, based on the 2026-28 admission cycle. Civilian aspirants must register for SNAP 2026 at the SNAP portal and select SIMS Pune as a preferred institute.

EMBA and PhD Admission

EMBA admission requires a graduation degree plus at least 2 years of work experience, with selection through an institute-level process. PhD admission requires a PG degree with 55% aggregate and a valid UGC-NET or JRF score, followed by a research proposal review and interview at SIMS Pune.
