Ques. Who is eligible for XLRI PGCBA?
Ans. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computers, Science, Commerce, or Business from a UGC, AICTE, or AIU-recognized university, with Mathematics or Statistics as a subject. A minimum of 50% aggregate in Class 12 or graduation and at least 1 year of full-time work experience after completing the bachelor’s degree are required. Knowledge of at least one programming language is mandatory, and all applicants must clear an online screening assessment covering Class 12-level Mathematics and Statistics before enrollment is confirmed.
Ques. What is the total fee for XLRI PGCBA and how is it paid?
Ans. The total fee for XLRI PGCBA is INR 4,03,000, comprising a non-refundable registration fee of INR 3,000 and a programme fee of INR 4,00,000. The programme fee is paid in 5 installments: four installments of INR 90,000 each and one final installment of INR 40,000, spread across the 12-month programme duration. The registration fee is collected at enrollment confirmation. Candidates should also plan for travel and accommodation costs during the two mandatory campus visits at XLRI Jamshedpur.
Ques. Do I need to physically attend the XLRI campus for PGCBA?
Ans. Yes, the PGCBA includes a mandatory 11-day campus immersion at XLRI Jamshedpur, split across two separate visits. The first visit of 5 days takes place during the initial phase of the programme, and the second visit of 6 days is scheduled near the end. All other learning is conducted through live interactive sessions on the XLRI Virtual Interactive Learning platform. Completing both campus visits is a mandatory programme requirement for receiving the XLRI certificate in Business Analytics.
Ques. What subjects does the XLRI PGCBA curriculum cover?
Ans. The PGCBA curriculum covers applied business analytics topics including data science foundations, machine learning, statistical modelling, business intelligence tools, and data-driven decision-making for managers. The programme includes a 3-month capstone project in which participants apply their learning to a real organisational problem and present their findings to faculty. All sessions are live and interactive with XLRI faculty, supplemented by peer discussions, case assignments, and periodic graded assessments spread across the 12-month period.

Ans. Yes, knowledge of at least one programming language is a stated eligibility condition for the PGCBA.
