XLRI PGCBM FAQs
Ques. Is XLRI PGCBM an AICTE-approved programme?
Ans. Yes, the PGCBM is AICTE approved and delivered by XLRI through its Virtual Interactive Learning division. The programme has been running since 2003, producing over 45 batches of working management professionals across sectors including IT, Banking, FMCG, and Manufacturing. Completion grants participants official XLRI alumni status and access to a network of thousands of senior professionals across India and globally.
Ques. Do PGCBM students need to attend the XLRI campus physically?
Ans. Yes, the PGCBM includes a mandatory 5-day campus immersion at XLRI Jamshedpur, which is a core component of the programme. All other sessions are conducted live online on Thursdays and Saturdays from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST. Participants who cannot attend the campus module do not fulfil the programme completion requirements.
Ques. What is the total fee for XLRI PGCBM Batch 47?
Ans. Batch 47 fees have not been officially published yet. Based on Batch 46, the total all-in fee was INR 4,05,000, comprising the programme fee of INR 3,70,000, campus immersion charge of INR 12,500, alumni registration of INR 20,000, and a non-refundable application fee of INR 2,500. A discount of INR 15,000 is available for full upfront payment.
Ques. Can I continue working during the XLRI PGCBM programme?
Ans. Yes, the PGCBM is designed specifically for working professionals. Classes are held on Thursday and Saturday evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST, and participants are expected to remain employed throughout the 12-month programme. This schedule is structured for mid-career professionals and does not require full-time leave from work at any stage of the programme.
Ques. What is the minimum work experience required for XLRI PGCBM?
Ans. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of full-time work experience after their bachelor’s graduation at the time of application. No entrance exam is required for PGCBM. Admission is based on academic credentials and the Statement of Purpose, followed by a Personal Interview conducted by XLRI faculty. Candidates from Engineering, Commerce, Science, and Arts backgrounds are all eligible to apply.
Ques. Does XLRI PGCBM provide alumni status after completion?
Ans. Yes, participants who successfully complete the PGCBM are granted XLRI alumni status upon payment of the alumni registration fee of INR 20,000, included in the total programme fee. This provides access to the XLRI alumni network, covering professionals in senior leadership roles across major corporations in India and internationally, as well as XLRI alumni events and mentorship opportunities.
