Does Jai Hind College conduct an entrance exam for all programmes?

Not for all programmes. Aided UG programmes (BA, B.Com, B.Sc) admit purely on Class 12 merit. Self-financed programmes like BMS, BBA, and BMM require the JHC-CEE entrance exam. BMS also accepts a MAH MBA CET score as an alternative to JHC-CEE.

What is the JHC-CEE and how does it work?

JHC-CEE is the Jai Hind College Common Entrance Exam for self-financed programmes. It is an online exam held once a year. The final merit for admission is 50% JHC-CEE score plus 50% Class 12 marks.

What is the Jai Hind College BMS eligibility?

Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. A minimum of 45% is required for the General category and 40% for reserved categories. Any stream (Commerce, Science, Arts) is accepted.

What are the cut-offs for Jai Hind College BA and B.Sc admission?

Cut-offs vary each year based on applicant strength. B.Sc (Open category) reached 98.20% in Round 1 of recent cycles. B.Com and BA Open category cut-offs have ranged from 90% to 99% across rounds. Later rounds typically see lower cut-offs after seat withdrawals.

Is Jai Hind College admission through the University of Mumbai portal?

No. All degree admissions at Jai Hind College go through the colleges own portal at jaihindcollege.com. The University of Mumbai cap.mu.ac.in portal is not used for Jai Hind College degree programmes.

What is the JHC-CEE application fee?

The JHC-CEE application fee is INR 1,200 (non-refundable). This is paid during registration for BMS, BBA, BMM, BAF, and other self-financed programmes. No rescheduling is allowed after the exam slot is allotted.

What are the fees for Jai Hind College aided programmes?

Aided programmes have very low fees due to government grants. BA (3-year total) is around INR 31,810. B.Com is around INR 31,870. B.Sc is around INR 37,270. These fees are subject to revision and SC/ST students receive further concessions.

How many rounds of merit lists does Jai Hind College release?

Jai Hind College releases five rounds of merit lists for aided UG programmes. Round 1 is typically released in late May. Subsequent rounds follow every few days. Candidates are advised to check the college website after each release.

Does Jai Hind College offer management quota admission?

All aided UG admissions at Jai Hind College are purely merit-based with no management quota. Self-financed programme admissions also follow the merit composite formula via JHC-CEE. Contact the college admissions office for any direct admission queries for self-financed programmes.
