MERI Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session have concluded across all programmes. UG admissions (B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA-JMC) were anchored by IPU CET, with GGSIPU counselling completing by July 2026. MBA 2026-28 admissions used CAT 2025 and IPU CET MBA 2026 scores, with final seat allotment in June 2026. PGDM 2026-28 batch began in July 2026.

The table below shows tentative dates for the upcoming 2027-28 and 2027-29 admission cycles. Official schedules will be notified by GGSIPU and AICTE once the cycle opens.

MERI Courses and Fees

MERI offers programmes across management, engineering, commerce, media, and law through its two Delhi campuses. Total fees below are calculated from the official fee structure for the general quota for 2026.

The PGDM is the only AICTE-approved autonomous management programme at MERI, which explains its higher fee versus the university-regulated MBA. All four B.Tech branches are priced identically at INR 5.01 Lakhs for the four-year programme. Law programmes at MERI carry among the more affordable total fees in Delhi for BCI-recognised programmes.

MERI Admission Process

PGDM Admission

The PGDM at MERI is a two-year AICTE-approved programme with an autonomous curriculum. Eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university. A valid score in CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, or GMAT is required. The selection stages are:

• Shortlisting based on entrance exam percentile (typically CAT or CMAT score)
• Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) at the MERI Janakpuri campus
• Final merit list combining entrance exam score, GD rating, PI score, academic track record, and work experience

Based on historical admission patterns, candidates shortlisted for MERI PGDM GD/PI have typically held CAT percentiles in the 60 to 75 range. Work experience is viewed favourably but is not mandatory.

MBA Admission (GGSIPU Affiliated)

MBA admissions follow the GGSIPU centralised counselling process. Eligibility requires graduation with 50% aggregate. Accepted exams include CAT, CMAT, XAT, MAT, and IPU CET MBA. Counselling is conducted by GGSIPU, with seat allocation based on IPU CET MBA rank or an equivalent normalised score from national exams. The MBA offers six specialisations: Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, IT, International Business, and Business Analytics.

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admissions at MERI-CET follow the GGSIPU centralised route. Eligibility requires 10+2 with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Valid scores in JEE Main, IPU CET Engineering, or CUET UG qualify candidates for counselling. GGSIPU releases three to four rounds of seat allotment based on submitted preferences and rank. B.Tech is offered in CSE, Electronics and Communication, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering at the Delhi-Rohtak Road campus.

BBA, BCA, B.Com, and BA-JMC Admission

All four undergraduate commerce and media programmes are GGSIPU affiliated and admit students through IPU CET or CUET UG. Eligibility is 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate from a recognised board. BCA applicants are encouraged to have PCM in 10+2, though it is not mandatory. GGSIPU centralised counselling manages all seat allocations, with multiple rounds typically running through June and July.

Law Programme Admission

BA LLB and BBA LLB (5-year integrated) admit students through CLAT, AILET, or IPU CET Law scores. Eligibility requires 10+2 with at least 45% marks. The 3-year LLB requires a bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and a valid CLAT or IPU CET Law score. LLM eligibility requires an LLB or BA LLB with at least 55% marks, with admission through CLAT PG or IPU CET Law PG. All law admissions are BCI-compliant and follow GGSIPU norms.

MERI Placements

MERI placement data for the 2023-24 cycle reflects a strong placement record at both UG and PG levels. In PG programmes (MBA and PGDM), 70 out of 73 eligible students were placed. In UG programmes (BBA and related), 475 out of 489 eligible graduates secured offers, representing a placement rate of over 96%.

MBA and PGDM students recorded a highest package of INR 14.56 LPA and an average of INR 8 LPA. The median salary for PG graduates was INR 7 LPA. BBA and UG graduates reported a highest package of INR 5.2 LPA and a median of INR 4 LPA.

Confirmed top recruiters at MERI include Coca-Cola, Somany Ceramics, EY, Wipro, Citibank, TCS, and VIP Industries. Hiring sectors span FMCG, financial services, IT services, manufacturing, and consulting. The MERI alumni network of over 4,000 professionals across global organisations supports referral hiring and lateral placements, particularly for Delhi NCR roles.

MERI’s PG placement outcomes reflect the dual-track structure: PGDM students typically command higher offers from AICTE-brand recruiters, while MBA students benefit from GGSIPU’s university-wide recruiter relationships and government-sector exposure.

MERI Rankings

MERI participates in NIRF and has appeared in the management category. The most recently cited rank in NIRF Management places MERI within the top 50 management colleges nationally.

NIRF rankings evaluate institutions on teaching and learning resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and peer perception. MERI’s rank of 41 in Management (NIRF 2024) indicates a recognised standing among private management colleges. MERI has submitted NIRF data for 2025 and 2026 cycles as well, and updated rankings will be available on the official NIRF portal once released.

MERI Scholarships

MERI offers merit-based scholarships for PGDM and MBA aspirants. The total scholarship pool for management programmes is up to INR 30 Lakhs, distributed across qualifying candidates based on their entrance exam percentile in CAT, CMAT, XAT, or MAT at the time of admission.

Students from reserved categories and economically weaker sections may additionally apply for government-sponsored scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and the Delhi government scholarship portal. Specific disbursement amounts vary by scheme and are subject to annual government notification.

MERI Campus and Infrastructure

The main management, law, and commerce campus is at 52-55, Sewa Marg, Janakpuri Institutional Area, New Delhi 110058, directly accessible via the Delhi Metro Blue Line (Janakpuri West station). The engineering campus (MERI-CET) is at the 46th Milestone on the Delhi-Rohtak Road, serving B.Tech students with dedicated labs, workshops, and project spaces.

MERI provides a Girls’ Hostel on campus with annual accommodation fees ranging from INR 42,000 to INR 48,000. The Janakpuri campus has digital classrooms, a central library, computer labs, seminar halls, and sports facilities. The institute operates under the Triveni Educational and Social Welfare Society, which also runs a teacher training institute and a senior secondary school on the Vikaspuri campus, reflecting a broader educational ecosystem.

MERI, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), and Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS) are all private GGSIPU-affiliated colleges in Delhi serving overlapping applicant pools: Delhi-NCR students seeking IPU-affiliated education in management, law, and commerce. MERI additionally offers engineering, setting it apart in programme breadth.

MERI leads in programme breadth with the only B.Tech offering among the three and a more comprehensive law school. JIMS is a strong choice for pure management aspirants in Rohini and North Delhi. VIPS is favoured by applicants seeking a focused law and commerce environment. All three are comparable in IPU-CET cutoffs and fee ranges, with the PGDM track at MERI and JIMS commanding a premium over university-regulated MBA fees.
