The Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP) aims to promote research that facilitates better understanding of issues relating to governance and public policy. The programmes that the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy offers bear in mind the contribution that the faculty and the students of the school can make towards meeting the challenges of governance and improving the efficiency of government in India, while drawing upon comparative and international perspectives. JSG intends to promote inter-disciplinary studies and joint teaching and research programmes in partnership with the schools of law, business and international affairs, Liberal Arts & Humanities.

Indiana University and University of Texas, A&M
JGU has entered into a broad-ranging collaboration with various departments and schools of Indiana University, and the University of Texas, A&M, USA. JSGP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) and University of Texas, A&M to exchange students and faculty members, to conduct joint research programmes, to introduce SPEA ABROAD summer programme for Indiana University students in India, an executive programme for Indian professionals at the campuses of Indiana and Texas, and share class-room teaching between both the Universities via video conferencing facility.
A series of seminars has been initiated in collaboration with other universities. It includes a seminar on “Diversity, Discrimination and Social Exclusion in India and the USA” in association with Maurer School of Law, Indiana University and the National Law School of India University and another on ‘‘Democracy, Governance and Public Policy’’ in collaboration with Richard and Rhoda Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California, Berkeley.
Collabaration with the Republic of Mozambique
JSGP has signed Memoranda of Understanding with three institutions from the Republic of Mozambique, The Criança Nosso Futuro Institute (CNFI), Instituto Superior de Relações Internacionais (ISRI), and University of St. Thomas (UST). The Memorandum of Understanding with CNFI was signed in the presence of Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Republic of Mozambique, Mrs. Maria Da Luz Guebuza. CNFI, ISRI and UST will nominate students from their respective institutions to pursue Masters in Public Policy at JSGP.
