IIITDM Kancheepuram, established in 2007, is a public institution of technical education and research. With a CRL rank of 134,593 and an EWS rank of 19,336, getting Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at an IIT is unlikely, even in newer IITs; CSE closing ranks are within the top few thousand in JEE Advanced (much lower than your ranks). For NITs, CSE cutoffs for the EWS category in 2025 were mostly below 2,500-3,000 at many colleges, and even at newer ones, rarely go beyond 20,000-30,000 ranks. So with your ranks, the chance for CSE in IIT/NIT is minimal; consider lower-tier institutes, state engineering colleges, private universities, or allied branches in the same counselling.
The fee per year is INR 1.42 Lakhs for the Btech course at IITDM Kancheepuram including tuition fee, registration fee, exam fee, and other charges. The hostel and mess charges are INR 30700 per semester for girls and boys both. The SC/ST students are exempted from tuition fees and hostel charges are also exempted if the family income is less than 200,000. The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in 10+2 with PCM subjects’ combination or its equivalent.
