Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College, better known as BJB College, is one of the premier institutions in the state. It is affiliated with Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. The registration is done through online as well as offline mode. Applicants who wish to apply can submit the application form on official website of college. They can also download the same from college website.
To be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses, applicants should have passed class 12 in relevant discipline with not less than 50% marks. Candidates having graduate degree in relevant stream with minimum required marks from a well-recognized university or institute are eligible to apply for PG courses.
BJB Admission is done on the basis of merit of last qualifying exam. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks are called for document verification process.
NOTE: Admission to all self-finance courses is done through entrance test which is conducted by the college itself.
The placement cell is managed by specially trained team of faculty members in as coordinators. Its aim is to provide opportunities for employment in different sectors by conducting campus drives and off campus drives. In the last three years, annual campus drive was organized in association with organizations like IBM, Daksh, Genpact, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HSBC, SBI etc.
There are four hostels for general category (boys and girls) as well as for SC/ST students which provide accommodations to the students.
The college a sprawling playground of 22,317 sq. mts, catering to both indoor and outdoor games and sports requirements of the students.
The college students were selected for POSCO Asian TJ Park Foundation Scholarship and Sahara India Scholarship. Many of the students are selected each year by different National Universities and institutes for higher education.
