Working at any studio before used to be a dream that can not be achieved but after pursuing the course from this college, I have gained immense confidence and knowledge to work in the industry side by side with the influential and named people of fashion industry. The sense of achievement is very difficult to explain and express to anyone.
I got very much intrigued by the people who took our interview during the admission process. The task they give was to show us our thinking process and how they would improve it in a better way. They gave us their piece of mind and it was like I want to learn more about it. The passion of joining the course gets doubled or tripled this way.
I have a general aptitude test and a design aptitude test followed by interview. The test was good and easy. I do not remember my score. The interview went well. I chose the course because i want to get into fashion advertising.
I do not remember the dates. It was somewhere in april i filled the form and appeared for the examination. The admission process was very clear and transparent all the info was clearly mentioned on the website and there were regular emails. There were two tests- one on general aptitude and other on design ability which was followed by personal interview.
It is one of the well known university for Marketing curriculum in Mumbai which also offers the best placement across the globe. I feel proud at the fact i pursued by UG curriculum from pearl university and willing to pursue my PG curriculum as well from here.
The university conducts its own entrance exam i.e. GPT(General Proficiency Test) based on which i was called for personal interview. The eligibility criteria to appear for the exam requires 10+2 from any recognized board with 50% in aggregate.
The entrance exam is not conducted by the college rather they take the students on the merit and interview basis. The selection of the students is done after understanding the students vision for the fashion industry and how they want to learn and grow and shape their personality with it. The admission cell gives and updates the students with all the notifications through email.
The course shall be instrumental and highly developed and up to date with the required skills and abilities and confidence that is needed by the student to be prepared for the employment in the industry. The entrepreneurial as well as professional opportunities or the student pursue higher education in this field. These are the few arenas where student goes after completing the course.
The students can get admission in the college through the admission portal available on the website of the college. They need to fill all of their details, upload their documents and pay the application fees. If the student gets selected, then they are called for an interview round and final selection is based on it.
A lot of students are already experienced working in the industry and has real good connections and doesn't require any sort of placement from the college. And some of the students are looking forward to learn something from the college so that they can start their own fashion company and work on their own designs and idea.
The interested candidates should have passed HSC qualifying examination (class 10+2) from any recognised board to be eligible to get admission under this course. The students can get all the information on the website of the college or can even call and ask about it in detail from the admission management department.
This is a three year course where the students are given a chance to learn about the luxury retail operations and luxury retailing management. They are also taught stuffs related to buying and merchandising. The international module gives them the exposure to the global luxury brands and help them understand their working.
The college accepts all the admission related applications both offline and online mediums. The student must have cleared class 12 and must have a basic understanding about the design and should have the passion for it. Once everything is finalized, the student is offered the seat and asked to pay the fees of the college.
All the students are given proper training programs to be able to develop confidence of facing the influential and demanding people in the industry. These are the people who are often invited to the college to take the interviews and students are taught how to remain calm and not lose your cool during the entire process.
Being able to get admission is one of the dream come true for a student. To get admission in such highly competitive world where so many students are applying for a course and wants to follow their passion, it was very difficult to get admission in the college. The application process was simple though.
The curriculum of the course wants to break status quo and encourage the new innovative methods of learnings and explorings and set new ways. They want the students to feel and experience the design world. The students are also encouraged to learn and develop sensitive emotions so that they can improve their creativity level as well as are able to take up challenges to demonstrate their personal connection with the design philosophy.
The college management has appointed a student council who look after all the needs of the students and is responsible and accountable to manage and follow up different activities, events and functions throughout the year. They are the main link between all the societies working in the college and team members of these societies.
