Course Curriculum Overview:

The course and the curriculum maintaining it are quite well managed, we always find out syllabus done in time. Through that, we can connect to the real world too. The thing is not every topic and not every subject can be made interesting but teachers can make efforts by making the uninteresting part more interesting.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Basically I choose this course because it contains all the subject combination i.e zoology+ botany+ chemistry and at that time I am Lil confused that I should continue neet or not but somewhere it is in my mind that I should give neet a try so I opt for this course coz the syllabus is almost same for biology and chemistry. And my basics got clear coz of this course and the teachers are also supportive.

Placement Experience:

We have a decent placement cell, many internship opportunities throughout the year both offline and remote as well as paid and unpaid. I had also secured a placement during my session for 6 lpa to a reputed company in gurgaon in my regards field. The highest placement in our session was 20 lpa to lowest was 3 lpa , totally depends on your skills and structure, knowledge and experience u have gained through internship, research work etc. Make your resume shine is the goal.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th semester, you can sit for placements. Names of some companies who visited are PWC, De Shaw, Ey, Deloitte, E&Y, Zomato, Hcl tech, tresvista, Preferred Square, and some other not-so-big companies. The average package was 5 lakhs. The highest package was 30 lakhs offered by De Shaw. Profile offered was of analyst, sales, and operations. The percentage of students getting hired was not so high. Around 5 students in my class got placement offers. Only 10% of the students who applied got placement. My plan after my degree is to pursue Master's.

Course Curriculum Overview:

From an academic perspective the curriculum is a really broad one.The internals are held frequently and almost two test per subject are held . Presentations and assignments are a major part however a more practical approach with more field trips ,in hand projects can be included.

Course Curriculum Overview:

What made me choose this course is that it deals with not one but three subjects that is Botany,Zoology and Chemistry. Also one advantage of this course is we can pursue our post graduation in any of these subjects. The curriculum is decent we have 3 labs a week having 4hr duration and it actually helps a lot to learn. The teaching methods of some teachers are good they even take you on field or show you equipments that are required. The area of improvement is that they put so much emphasis on assignments and files which feels unnecessary. The exams happen in dec-jan and may-june and the difficulty level is moderate if you do pyqs you can solve half of the paper so that's not an issue.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Only 2 subjects was required and both can be theoretical it was not compulsion in my course to chose practical subject. It really gives reality check of the world, it basically opens eyes that there are infinite options in academics and universities also. Earlier our knowledge about subjects was limited to what was famous and what everyone was doing in their life. I think teaching method can be improved, as accepting virtual methods or simple learning will help to understand easily. Timing was i think okay to attempt the papers you just have to be smart while attempting and difficulty level was moderate but for some paper it was high

Placement Experience:

There were not really good companies hiring for economics hons students, only in sales and management roles. Mostly startups came to recruit, which is why most students from our batch didn't sit in the placements. Average package offered was 4.5-5 LPA. I personally did not sit in the placements since I already had a job in hand that I found on my own, through a friend.

Placement Experience:

Average Company Packages: The majority of companies visiting the college offer average packages around 3 LPA, which may not meet the expectations of all students. Placement Issues for Science Students: Placement opportunities are limited for science students, with most companies focusing on commerce and arts disciplines. Very few tech-based companies visit, and science students often do not secure placements in their field. Highest package offered is 10 LPA. This is only possible to commerce and arts graduate. Percentage of placement is around 20%. Students go for govt jobs and prepare for post graduation after college. Some of them cleared UPSC and PCs exams too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was enrolled in the CBCS course which is more relevant as compared to NEP so I didn't have major problems. However, it would be much better if college allowed free choice while choosing DSE. University of Delhi has more about 10 options (give or take) but college offers only 4 that too in combinations and we have two choose from these 2 given options regardless of what other DSE options we might be interested in. We can't even change the subject combinations and are left with no choice but to study something we don't want to.

Maitreyi College: 1 Answered Question

What are some reviews of the Maitreyi College Delhi?

Raktim Tarafdar
Tanisha BishtBachelor of Commerce in Professional Accounting, University of Delhi (2018)

Maitreyi College Delhi has a beautiful campus with vast open spaces. It is not that difficult from any other colleges. The faculty base is decent. Some of the faculty members are friendly some aren’t, it depends on your subject. The fests and societies are quite good at the college. My friends from the college especially talk about dance and fashion society. The canteen is average at best. Life at Maitreyi College is not that different than the other colleges.
