DYPIT Admission Dates 2026

DYPIT B.E. 2026-27 admissions are driven by MHT-CET 2026 and DTE Maharashtra CAP, which is ongoing as of August 2026. M.E. admissions through DTE Maharashtra using GATE 2026 scores are also in progress. Management quota (direct) admissions for B.E. are open directly at the institute.

DYPIT Courses and Fees

DYPIT offers B.E., M.E., and MBA programmes. The B.E. fee of INR 5.72 Lakhs is uniform across all nine branches. Branch choice does not affect total outflow. M.E. is available in five specialisations at a uniform fee of INR 2.25 Lakhs for two years.

Hostel at DYPIT ranges from INR 2.25 Lakhs to INR 6.25 Lakhs per year, a wide band that reflects multiple room types and catering plans. For a 4-year B.E. at the standard hostel rate, total residential cost starts from INR 14.72 Lakhs (programme fee + 4 years at INR 2.25 Lakhs per year). Students on management quota seats do not qualify for government scholarship schemes.

DYPIT Admission Process

DYPIT B.E. admissions follow the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for 80% of seats. The remaining 20% are filled through direct management quota (institute-level) admissions. All candidates must have 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Minimum aggregate is 50% (40% for backward class, EWS, and PwD candidates).

B.E. Admission (CAP Route - 80% seats)

• Appear for MHT-CET or JEE Main. MHT-CET PCM is the primary route for Pune-area applicants.
• Register for DTE Maharashtra CAP at the official DTE portal. Enter DYPIT and branch preferences during the option entry round.
• Seat allotment is based on MHT-CET percentile or JEE Main score and candidate preferences. No separate test or interview from DYPIT for CAP seats.
• MHT-CET 2024 last-round cutoff for General category at DYPIT: 65.55 percentile. Cutoffs vary by branch and round.

B.E. Admission (Management Quota - 20% seats)

DYPIT reserves 20% of B.E. seats for direct institute-level admissions. Minimum eligibility is 50% in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Candidates apply directly at dypit.edu.in. Management quota students are not eligible for state government or AICTE scholarship schemes.

M.E. and MBA Admission

M.E. admissions at DYPIT require a valid GATE score or MAH-M.E./M.Tech-CET score, processed through DTE Maharashtra CAP. GATE scholars receive the AICTE monthly stipend of INR 12,400 per month. MBA admissions require MAH-MBA-CET scores and are processed through DTE Maharashtra MBA CAP.
