MVSREC Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session have concluded. TG EAPCET 2026 was the primary gateway for BE admission at MVSREC. The next admission cycle (2027-28) is expected to open with TG EAPCET registrations in April 2027.

Across all programme levels at MVSREC, the entrance exam requirements differ by stream and degree. The table below lists the exam requirements applicable for the upcoming 2027-28 cycle.

MVSREC Courses and Fees

MVSREC offers 10 BE specialisations, four ME/M.Tech streams, an MBA programme, and doctoral research in three disciplines. Fees vary by branch, with CSE and IT at the higher end and emerging technology branches at the lower end.

CSE and IT remain the highest-demand branches. Emerging streams such as AI and ML, Data Science, and IoT and Cyber Security were introduced in response to industry demand and carry lower fee structures than legacy engineering branches.

MVSREC Admission Process

BE Admission

Admission to the BE programme is through TG EAPCET, conducted by TSCHE. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh may qualify via AP EAPCET. The TG EAPCET rank determines seat allotment in the TSCHE web counselling process.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories)
• Choice filling, allotment and sliding rounds conducted through the TSCHE counselling portal
• Document verification and tuition fee payment at the college confirm the admission

Lateral entry to the second year of BE is available for diploma holders in relevant engineering disciplines through ECET. The EAPCET general category closing rank for CSE at MVSREC has historically been in a higher range than top-ranked private colleges in Hyderabad, making it accessible to a broad set of aspirants.

ME/M.Tech and MBA Admission

M.Tech and ME admissions are based on GATE score (for AICTE-sponsored seats) or PGECET rank (for state-quota seats). Candidates attend a counselling round conducted under Osmania University norms.

MBA admission is through TS ICET rank. CAT and MAT scores are also accepted for management quota seats. The eligibility is a recognised bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

PhD Admission

PhD programmes in CSE, ECE and Mechanical Engineering follow Osmania University research admission norms. A valid GATE or UGC-NET score is generally required alongside the university entrance test and an interview.

MVSREC Placements

The MVSREC 2024 placement season recorded a highest package of INR 25 LPA and an average B.Tech package of INR 4.76 LPA. A total of 220 students were placed from a graduating batch of 858, as reported in MVSREC’s NIRF 2025 data submission.

IT and CSE branches account for the bulk of campus placements. Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant and HCL were active recruiters in the 2024 season. Cisco featured among the high-value offerers, with two CSE students securing packages of INR 14.95 LPA including internship components.

Core engineering streams including ECE, EEE, Civil and Mechanical have lower campus placement absorption. Graduates from these branches often supplement placements with preparation for GATE, PSU entrance exams and state government technical recruitment.

MVSREC Rankings

MVSREC participates in NIRF and submits annual data including placement outcomes and financial disclosures. In the engineering category, the college is ranked 251 as per NIRF 2024.

MVSREC Campus and Infrastructure

The MVSREC campus spans 28 acres in Nadergul, Saroor Nagar, Ranga Reddy district. The campus includes separate hostels for men and women with on-campus catering, and a college transport network connecting Nadergul to key Hyderabad city points.

Department laboratories are maintained across all NBA-accredited engineering branches. The central library provides access to technical journals and e-resource databases. Additional facilities include a health centre, bank ATM, canteen and sports courts for cricket, volleyball and basketball.

The college is ISO 9001:2015 certified, covering both academic and administrative quality processes. Differently-abled students have access to ramp-based infrastructure and dedicated support facilities across the campus.

MVSREC vs CBIT vs Vasavi College of Engineering

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) and Vasavi College of Engineering (VCE) are the most commonly compared peer colleges for MVSREC. All three are private engineering colleges in Hyderabad affiliated to Osmania University, and all accept TG EAPCET rank for BE admission.

CBIT holds autonomous status under Osmania University, allowing it to set its own examination patterns. It draws a stronger EAPCET cohort and commands a higher profile in campus placements. Vasavi and MVSREC are broadly comparable in intake profile and geographic reach. MVSREC’s lower EAPCET closing rank for most branches makes it accessible to a wider pool of aspirants than CBIT.
